Dear Parents/Carers
On behalf of the staff at Brookfield Primary Academy, we are happy to welcome you to our school. Brookfield Primary is part of the LEO Academy Trust's North Cheam Hub working alongside Cheam Park Farm and Shawley Community Primary. We are so pleased that you have chosen our school and Trust for your child.
We are looking forward to a productive partnership with you to ensure our children can achieve their highest potential. We recognise that in order to be successful in school, our children need support from both the home and school. We know a strong partnership with you will make a great difference in your child’s education. As partners, we share the responsibility for our children’s success and want you to know that we will do our very best to carry out our responsibilities.
We look forward to getting to know you and your child in the coming months and years.
Kind regards
Ms Wright, Principal

All children at Brookfield are expected to wear the correct uniform, for more detailed information on our school uniform and where to purchase items please refer to our website (link below):
We have made the decision for the children to remain coming into school in their PE kits on their two PE days. This must be the Brookfield PE kit and not other sports wear (e.g. Nike, Adidas etc).
For more information on the required PE kit please refer to our uniform information.
On these sports days, children must have their hair tied up and not be wearing any jewellery - watches can be left in the classroom during the PE lesson and earrings must be left at home. If earrings cannot be removed, they must be covered prior to coming to school.
On non PE days, if your child is attending a before school club, they must bring in their school uniform to change into. If they are attending an after school club, they must bring their PE kit to change into. For any specific events/tournaments, a kit may be provided.
We have pleasure in attaching a list of the clubs we are able to offer for the (to be updated).
The list includes clubs run internally by staff members as well as those run by external agencies (Love Theatre Arts, Motion Dance, Debutots and Progressive Martial Arts). If you would like your child to attend the external after school clubs, please contact the school office for further information.
To apply for clubs, please complete the Google form listed below: -
For KS1 clubs Year 1&2 After School Clubs
For KS2 clubs Year 3&4 After School Clubs
Clubs will start week commencing (to be updated). There may be occasions when clubs are unable to run but we will let you know in advance where possible.
**Please note - No clubs run the last week of term**
Once we have allocated all the places we will send confirmation via your Arbor account. We will only send an email if your child has been successful in securing a place. Please only apply for a club if your child is committed to attend all sessions unless they are ill.
We know that children having good attendance and punctuality has a direct impact on progress in school. Children who attend frequently are far more likely to achieve academic success than those with poor attendance who tend to fall behind in their learning.
Children with good attendance achieve much better in their learning
Time off disrupts learning for you child, and also for the rest of the class
Children who miss school miss out on their right to a full education
It is your legal responsibility to ensure that your child attends school regularly
Persistent unauthorised absence could lead to court action, including fines
Please can we remind all parents/carers that if your child is going to be absent from school that you use the Brookfield Absence Form (instead of leaving a message on the answerphone).
We know that illness is unavoidable and to be expected, especially at the moment due to Covid-19. Knowing whether pupils are going to be absent from school and the reasons for any absences is an important safeguarding issue for the school.
It is therefore, vitally important that if your child is not going to be in school that you complete our the form by 9:15am.
The form has 3 separate sections for Coronavirus Related / General Illness / Other Reason for Absence (ie. appointments).
The form can also be found on the Weekly Newsletters and Brookfield Website home page under Parents - Absence and Attendance:
http://www.brookfield.sutton.sch.uk/875/absence-and-attendance
Please note that you ONLY need to complete the form if your child is off school you do not need to call and leave a message.
If for any reason you are unable to access the form then please either call the school and leave a message on the school absence line on 020 8644 8616 opt 1 (you do not need to speak to a member of the office staff) or email the office on: bfoffice@leoacademytrust.co.uk.
Please note that if your child is unwell for 5 or more days (unrelated to Covid-19), medical evidence may be requested.
Approval for leave must be applied for BEFORE organising any travel plans. Leave will only be authorised in exceptional circumstances.
Please fill in the form below:

We have a voluntary school fund donation of £10 a term / £30 a year per child or £40 for a family if there are siblings at the school. Parents can pay for School Fund online via our Arbor payment system - more information on how to pay will follow in the Autumn Term.
We would like to thank you for your support.
