Individual and Sibling Photos - 1st October 2024
Individual and sibling photos will be taken on Tuesday 1st October 2024.
Child(ren) are to wear their school jumper or cardigan with the logo.
If your child has long hair, please tie it back neatly, and they are welcome to bring a comb or brush for touch-ups.
We kindly remind you that all sibling group photo requests have been accommodated, and we cannot accept any further bookings.
Kingswood Residential Trip - Morning Clubs Suspension
Due to our Year 6 pupils' upcoming Kingswood Residential trip, morning clubs will be suspended on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday of the week the trip takes place (October 13th to 16th, 2024).
We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding.
Coffee Morning
Parents and Carers are invited to attend our Coffee Morning on Friday 4th October 2024 at 9:15am - 10:15am.
This will be held in the Upper Hall; entry will be via the school office.
To attend, please complete this form by end of day, Friday 27th September 2024.
Please also mention any particular areas of school life you would like to discuss.
We politely request that only one parent/carer from each household attends and that parents and carers attending do not bring children.
Can we please remind all parents that school workshops and trips rely on the contributions of parents in order for the trips/workshops to go ahead and unfortunately these may be cancelled if we do not receive payments.
If you are having any difficulties making the payments, please contact the school office to discuss this further.

We are holding our first uniform sale of this academic year on Monday 7th October 2023 at 3.20pm-3.55pm in the playground (weather permitting). Please can we politely ask that you bring coins for any payments as it is not always possible for us to provide the correct change. Cash payments only.
F.O.M.P. Winter Festival
The holiday festivities are coming!
On Saturday 14th December 2024, Friends of Manor Park will be hosting their annual 'Winter Festival'.
During the afternoon, their will be a host of fun family friendly activities, crafts and prizes as well as food & drink stalls and festive music throughout.

Nursery & Reception
Reception have been embracing the spirit of autumn, exploring the season's changes and creating their own charming bushy-tailed squirrels at the art table. In their numeracy lessons, the children have been diligently learning to count to 5, focusing on developing a strong one-to-one correspondence. Their learning has been complemented by a variety of engaging counting songs, ensuring a fun and interactive experience.
Year 1 & Year 2
Year 1 pupils embarked on a captivating journey into the world of the hungry caterpillar through their free-flow activities this week. Meanwhile, Year 2 artists demonstrated their blossoming talents with vibrant potato printing and skilful colour mixing. Their creative exploration of secondary colours resulted in unique masterpieces, filling our classrooms with pride. Additionally, Year 2 pupils blasted off into the past with an exciting drama workshop, immersing themselves in the voyages of Christopher Columbus and Neil Armstrong. It was a day filled with both fun and valuable learning experiences.
Year 3 & Year 4
In Year 3, our pupils delved into the fascinating story of the Cheddar Man, offering a glimpse into Britain's ancient past. Geography lessons focused on distinguishing between physical and human features, laying a foundation for understanding our world, as will as continuing to hone their drumming techniques. Meanwhile, Year 4 embarked on a journey through Roman numerals, mastering their identification up to 100. Weekly yoga classes nurtured mind, body, and spirit, providing a welcome balance to their academic pursuits. Year 4 also embraced technology, utilising Google Drive to collaboratively create a project highlighting places with Anglo-Saxon place names.
Year 5 & Year 6
This week, Year 5 soared to new heights in Science, experimenting with parachutes and discovering the impact of surface area on air resistance. They also embarked on a global journey in Geography, exploring diverse climate zones and the countries within them. Additionally, they delved into the world of water resistance, designing and testing objects to understand its effects. Meanwhile, our young explorers enjoyed a fantastic day of Forest School, engaging in various activities including woodwork, den building, and even helping out in the allotment.
In Year 6, pupils had a hands-on Science lesson, dissecting a lamb's heart and gaining valuable insights into its anatomy. They also embraced technology in Maths, using various interactive tools and real-time feedback to enhance their learning experience.
Year 4 SSP Skipping Festival
This week, a group of Year 4 pupils represented our school with enthusiasm at the 'Sutton School Partnership' Skipping Festival.
The pupils demonstrated impressive skill, working on three distinct skipping styles both individually and as part of a team.
Their dedication and effort were commendable, and we extend our congratulations to each participant for a job well done.
The class with the highest attendance level for the week ending 20th September 2024 in Early Years and Key Stage 1 is Jet Class with 99.33% closely followed by Amber Class with 98.33%
The class with the highest attendance level for the week ending 13th September 2024 in Key Stage 2 is Turquoise Class with 99.38% closely followed by Opal Class with 99.35%.
