Manor Park Primary Academy School has a duty to safeguard and promote the welfare of children. This responsibility necessitates a child protection policy and procedures which are available to view on the website, or a copy can be requested from the School Office. Our designated Child Protection Officers are Ms. Thomas and Ms. Laing. Information may need to be shared with other agencies when there are concerns about a child’s welfare. Manor Park Primary Academy is committed to gender, racial, religion and disability equality in every part of school life.
We are pleased to share that the Scholastic Travelling Book Fair is returning to Manor Park just in time for the festive period from Friday 29th November to Thursday 05th December. The fair will take place after school in the Studio. Signs will be up to help you locate the book fair.
When the Fair arrives, there will be a range of incredible books to browse and purchase, all whilst helping to earn free books for your school! Payments can be made by cash and/or card.
Check out some of the exciting books available via our digital catalogue - Click Here
Year 6 mock SAT's will be taking place throughout next week.
Please remind them of the following pointers to help them through next week….
Get a good night’s sleep.
Make sure you arrive in school on time.
Remember to bring a water bottle into school.
Bring a piece of fruit for a mid-morning healthy snack.
Above all, relax, don’t worry and do your best.
As the Christmas holidays approach, can we please remind you that family holidays must be taken during school holidays only and should not be extended either side of the school holiday dates. Any time taken off to extend holidays will be unauthorised and a fixed penalty notice may be applied. Thank you for your co-operation in ensuring that your child attends school every day, enabling them to receive the best education we can provide.
Also, in accordance with the school’s Attendance Policy, requests for leave for an emergency or exceptional circumstance should be made one month prior to the dates required, whenever possible (We understand that this is not always possible in the case of an emergency). Additionally, we also require a copy of flight details to support the request if travel abroad is required. Thank you.
Please try to make dental and GP appointments after school wherever possible to minimise gaps in your child's learning.
We require a copy of letters for hospital appointments, visits to embassies or passport offices and high school entrance exams to enable us to authorise these appointments . We can copy the original documents, if necessary.
Also, if you have a personal appointment please could you make the necessary arrangements to ensure that this does not impact your child's attendance and school time.
Can we please remind all parents that school workshops and trips rely on the contributions of parents in order for the trips/workshops to go ahead and unfortunately these may be cancelled if we do not receive payments. If you are having any difficulties making the payments, please contact the school office to discuss this further.
Thank you so much for your support.
Contact with your Child's Class Teacher
Due to the large number of emails coming into the office, we would kindly ask that if parents/carers have any queries or concerns regarding their children, to speak to their respective class teachers, preferably at the end of the school day, once the class teachers have safely dismissed the class.
For any specific concerns, if the class teacher has a meeting on the day after school, then they can refer you to the school office for a telephone appointment to be made. This is so any small queries, or indeed, anything important or urgent can be dealt with quickly, as the office has a 10-15 day turnaround policy in respect of emails.
Early Closure of Wrap Around Care on Last Day of Term
As we approach December, we wanted to inform you of some adjustments to the wrap around care schedule for the last day of term. On the 20th December 2024, every year group will finish at 2:30 PM, and consequently, Wrap Around Care will close earlier than usual at 6:00 PM.
Please ensure that your child is collected by 6:00 PM, as the school will close promptly at that time. If you anticipate any difficulties in collecting your child by 6:00 PM, we kindly ask that you make alternative arrangements for someone to pick them up and notify our club manager of these arrangements via email at mpwac@leoacademytrust.co.uk.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our wrap around manager via the email mentioned above.
Health and Safety Notice-No Glass Bottles in School
We kindly remind you that glass bottles are not permitted on school premises. This includes water bottles, juice bottles, or any other containers made of glass.
While we understand the convenience of glass bottles, they pose a significant risk to the safety of our students. Broken glass can cause serious injuries, and we want to ensure a safe and secure environment for all children.

We are delighted to share the incredible progress our Year 5 and 6 pupils are making in English, thanks to the innovative OLEX AI software! This exciting new tool provides personalised feedback on their writing, empowering them to take ownership of their learning and make improvements independently and collaboratively. It's been wonderful to see the children so engaged, with OLEX AI truly bringing their work to life. The enthusiasm and motivation to develop their writing has been incredible to sees. To capture the impact of this initiative, we recently filmed our pupils using OLEX AI, and we can't wait to share this inspiring video with you all in the coming weeks.
This week, our pupils were treated to a captivating Christmas assembly led by the talented team from Sutton Schools Work. Both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 children were enthralled as they revisited the traditional Christian story of Christmas, focusing on the theme of preparation and readiness.
Through engaging storytelling and lively songs, the assembly beautifully conveyed the message of hope and anticipation associated with this special time of year. It was a wonderful way to begin the festive season and reflect on the true meaning of Christmas.
Year 3 have been busy little chefs this week! It's been wonderful to see their enthusiasm in the kitchen as they refined their culinary skills.
Not only did they learn how to safely chop a variety of vegetables (with careful supervision of course!), but they also whipped up a batch of delicious and healthy courgette, cheese and chive muffins, combining learning about nutrition with developing practical cooking skills
Well done Year 3!
Thanks to the incredible support of Inspire Works, our Year 6 drumming group has been hard at work learning to rock out! Their rhythm, timing, and coordination have come on in leaps and bounds, and they are now preparing for a fantastic performance where they can showcase their newfound skills to both parents and carers from across the school. We cannot wait to see (and hear) what they have accomplished!
For further details about the upcoming performance on Thursday 12th December, please see the email that was sent earlier this week!
A tremendous well done to our girls' football team who showcased incredible talent and sportsmanship at the Fulham FC tournament earlier this week! Despite facing tough competition, the girls remained unbeaten throughout the day, securing three impressive draws. This fantastic effort earned them a very respectable 3rd place finish overall.
We are incredibly proud of their determination, teamwork, and positive attitude on the pitch. A huge thank you to all the parents and carers for their support, and to Mr. Batt for his dedication in coaching the team.
Our Year 1 and 2 pupils had a fantastic time at the LEO Sports Panathlon event this morning!
With smiles all around, they enthusiastically took on a circuit of sporting activities, developing key skills like throwing, catching, and balancing. It was wonderful to see such teamwork and sportsmanship on display.
A huge well done to all the children who participated - you were brilliant representatives of our school!
