Manor Park Primary Academy School has a duty to safeguard and promote the welfare of children. This responsibility necessitates a child protection policy and procedures which are available to view on the website, or a copy can be requested from the School Office. Our designated Child Protection Officers are Ms. Thomas and Ms. Laing. Information may need to be shared with other agencies when there are concerns about a child’s welfare. Manor Park Primary Academy is committed to gender, racial, religion and disability equality in every part of school life.

LEO Academy Parent Experience Survey
Please find our annual Parent Survey, designed to gather your valuable feedback on various aspects of our school.
We encourage you to take a few moments to complete the survey, which can be accessed here.
Surveys are completely anonymous and confidential, though the responses will be aggregated for the purpose of analysis.
Please note that the survey needs to be completed in one sitting.
The survey will be available until Friday 28th March and should take no more than 15 minutes to complete.
Thank you for your ongoing support and for working with us to create a thriving learning environment for all of our students.
Reception Express and Share Assemblies
Reception classes will be holding their Express and Share assemblies at 9:15 am.
Garnet Class will be receiving parents/carers in school on Tuesday 25th March.
Aqua Class on Wednesday 26th March.
Jet Class on Thursday 27th March.
Additional Information
Each class will be allowed one 30 minute session.
Due to the nature of moving and allowing space for children to explore activities and share with their parents this is limited to one parent or carer only per child on their classes’ day.
Younger children and babies (including Nursery age children) may not accompany you for the Spring share event as this is an opportunity for your child to share their learning with the adults. We therefore ask that you make alternative arrangements for these younger siblings, as unfortunately, you will not be able to attend should you bring them.
As with all of our assemblies and performances, we politely ask parents/carers arrive promptly (via Myrtle Road gate) to prevent disruption.
Many thanks for your continued support.
Nursery Spring Play and Share
Nursery Spring 'Play and Share' will take place in school on Friday 28th March 2025.
Times for each class are as follows:
Gems: 9:00 am - 9.30 am
Jewels: 12.45pm - 1.15 pm
If your child attends Charms Class, please choose just one of the above times to come and participate on the Play and Share with your child.
Please note, each class will be allowed one 30 minute session for 1 parent or carer only per child. Due to the nature of the activities and learning babies/siblings may not accompany you for the Spring Play and Share event.
Many thanks for your continued support.
Bikeability Starting Monday 24th March
We are pleased to inform you that Sutton Road Safety Unit will be back at Manor Park next week to offer some selected pupils a Bikeability training course from Monday 24th March (parents and adults will have been informed if their child is taking part). The course is provided by the Sustainable Transport Team free of charge, however full commitment is required as a condition of this.
Participants will be required to bring a suitable roadworthy bicycle and helmet to school on Monday, 24th March.
The instructors will sort the children into groups after the first session and the children will then be told when their additional sessions are.
For this reason, the children should bring their bike in on Monday 24th March and keep their bikes in school for the duration of the week in the school bike shed. We would advise that you provide your child with a lock for it.
All cycles will be checked at the beginning of the course and instructors will not allow any cycles deemed unsafe to be used. In particular, both brakes must work, the tyres must be in good condition and pumped up. The children will be provided with a hi-viz vest by the school to wear for the duration of the sessions.
Early Closure of Wrap Around Care on Last Day of Term
As we approach April, we wish to inform you of some adjustments to the Wrap Around care schedule for the last day of term. Wrap Around Care will close earlier than usual at 6:00 PM.
Please ensure that your child is collected by 6:00 PM, as the school will close promptly at that time. If you anticipate any difficulties in collecting your child by 6:00 PM, we kindly ask that you make alternative arrangements for someone to pick them up and notify our club manager of these arrangements via email at mpwac@leoacademytrust.co.uk.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our wrap around manager via the email mentioned above.
Parking Safely Around the School Entrances
Please can we politely remind you of the importance of parking safely around the school entrances. Parking is strictly prohibited outside the school gates and our children's safety is compromised by anyone who stops on the zigzag lines or on the corner of Warwick and Greyhound Road.
We also ask you to be aware of the safety and to be considerate of our neighbours, local pedestrians, including children, parents/carers of our school and pupils of other local schools, in surrounding roads and therefore not to park across driveways at drop off and pick up times. They, too, could be parents/carers who need to collect children from school and would be unable to get their car off the drive. Thank you for your co-operation.

'Odd Sock Day' to Celebrate World Down Syndrome Day!
Today, the entire school community demonstrated its commitment to inclusion and creativity, with pupils across all year groups participated in World Down Syndrome Day, showcasing a vibrant display of odd socks. The children engaged with George Webster's message of acceptance through his song 'This Is Me,' and further expressed their support by colouring in symbolic odd socks. The week culminated in a celebration of individuality and artistic expression, highlighting the pupils' empathy and talent.
Reception Classes Visit Bockett's Farm
This week, the Reception pupils embarked on an enriching educational excursion to Bockett's Farm. The children were captivated by the diverse array of animals, engaging in hands-on experiences such as petting and feeding. Furthermore, the pupils demonstrated keen interest and observational skills while watching the various animal displays, developing a deeper understanding of the natural world. Thank you to all the adults that helped with their support during the trip.
Year 2 Express and Share Success
This week, Year 2 pupils captivated the school community with their "Coastlines" Express and Share assembly, showcasing their in-depth project learning through insightful presentations and spirited renditions of traditional sea shanties. The assembly was met with enthusiastic applause, and the children subsequently engaged in a delightful flower art activity alongside their parents and adults in the classrooms. The collaborative session created creativity and provided a wonderful opportunity for shared enjoyment, marking a truly memorable day for all involved.
OLEX AI Comes to Year 3 to Support Writing Outcomes
This week, Year 3 pupils engaged in an innovative learning experience using OLEX AI, a platform to enhance and assess their descriptive narrative writing. The children demonstrated remarkable enthusiasm as they utilised the technology to refine their work, and they found particular enjoyment in the collaborative aspect of sharing the AI-generated images, which were visual interpretations of their written descriptions, with their peers. Each pupil's unique narrative was brought to life in a new and exciting way, fostering a deeper understanding of descriptive language and creative expression.
Year 2 Fieldwork Excursion to Manor Park!
This week, Year 2 pupils embarked on an engaging fieldwork excursion to Manor Park. With the sun shining, the children undertook a practical geography investigation, focusing on population density. The pupils diligently counted visitors within the park, enabling them to explore and understand the utilisation of this physical feature through direct observation and data collection. This hands-on experience provided invaluable insights into geographical concepts, fostering a deeper understanding of our local environment. Well done all!
