We pride ourselves on offering our children a varied and exciting range of activities on our before and after school clubs. The school clubs donation fund will allow us to provide additional activities across all year groups.
We have a voluntary school club fund donation of any amount. Parents can donate for the school club fund online via our Arbor payment system. Go to: Accounts - Club Donation - Top Up Account, or simply bring your cash donation to the school office in a named envelope.
We would like to thank you for your support.
Please can we politely remind you of the importance of parking safely around the school entrances.
Parking is strictly prohibited outside the school gates and our children's safety is compromised by anyone who stops on the zigzag lines or on the corner of Warwick and Greyhound Road. We also ask you to be considerate of our neighbours in surrounding roads and therefore not to park across driveways at drop off and pick up times. They, too, could be parents who need to collect children from school and would be unable to get their car off the drive.
Thank you for your co-operation.

Facebook, WhatsApp, X (formerly known as Twitter) etc. should not be used for any school related comments and the complaints and concerns procedures should be followed. If you wish to share, confidentially, parents who are using sites inappropriately, please let us know and we a will be happy to speak to them. All contact between staff and parents should be conducted with politeness whether this is in meetings or on social media. The following guidelines should be followed:

This week, our Reception pupils have fully immersed themselves in their exciting new Summer topic, 'Animal Safari: Creep, Wiggle and Crawl'. The children showed great curiosity and enthusiasm as they explored the natural world around them through a variety of hands-on activities.
During our Science exploration, pupils participated in a minibeast hunt within the school gardens to discover local wildlife in their natural habitats. As part of their Science studies, pupils practiced identifying different minibeasts and learned how to categorise them based on their features. In their outdoor learning, pupils successfully located and observed a wide variety of creatures, including ants, worms, slugs, and woodlice.
During English lessons, pupils wrote descriptive sentences to explain which minibeasts they had discovered and what they looked like. In their Literacy and Drama sessions, pupils worked together to retell the story of 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar' through imaginative play and games.
In Maths, pupils continued to develop their number skills by counting on and identifying the value of different groups of objects.
It has been a highly productive and successful week for our young learners across the curriculum. Our pupils have demonstrated exceptional focus and creativity as they explored new concepts and deepened their understanding of the world.
During English, pupils applied their descriptive vocabulary to compose original acrostic poems based on the popular character, The Gruffalo. In Mathematics, the children practised their fluency by accurately counting in multiples of 2 and 10.
As part of Religious Education, pupils learned about the Hindu Festival of Light and carefully crafted their own decorative diva lamps. During Geography, the classes discussed the importance of protecting the environment and designed informative posters to discourage littering.
In History, pupils began their new topic, 'School Days', by investigating the lives of people during the Victorian era. As part of their historical enquiry, the children identified significant Victorian inventions and compared the experiences of wealthy and poor families.
Throughout the week, pupils showed great pride in their work and maintained the high standards of our school community.
It has been a wonderful week of discovery and progress across our school, and I am delighted to share the following achievements of our pupils:
In English, pupils began exploring the book Katie in London, where they identified famous landmarks and engaged in a 'would you rather' game to compare these historical sites. During Maths, the children successfully completed their unit on fractions, which included mastering unit and non-unit fractions, as well as the concept of three-quarters. As part of their Maths assessment, pupils demonstrated their excellent understanding of the topic by participating in a competitive and educational Kahoot quiz.
During Science lessons, the children began a new unit on animal survival, where they identified the different habitats required for plants and animals to thrive. For their Science enrichment, pupils thoroughly enjoyed using 'Now Press Play' to take part in an immersive audio experience focused on various natural habitats.
In History, pupils started their new 'Magnificent Monarchs' topic by learning essential historical vocabulary and comparing the power of royalty in the past versus the modern day. In Physical Education, pupils started additional cricket sessions where they worked hard to develop their underarm and overarm throwing techniques.
It has been an exceptionally productive week for our pupils, filled with discovery and the development of new skills across the curriculum. We are delighted to share the following highlights of their learning journey:
As part of their History lessons, pupils investigated what daily life was like for people living within the Roman Empire. During Art, pupils designed and created beautiful mosaics based on traditional Roman themes and patterns. In History and Art, pupils combined their knowledge of the Romans to better understand how ancient art reflected their culture.
In Science, pupils drew detailed diagrams of plants to identify and label their various physical features. During their Science investigation, pupils explored the specific purpose and function of each part of a plant.
In Physical Education, pupils began additional cricket sessions where they practiced their throwing and catching techniques with great focus.
This week, our pupils have demonstrated exceptional focus and curiosity across a variety of subjects. We are incredibly proud of the progress they have made in the following areas:

In Maths, pupils improved their accuracy by correctly placing decimal numbers onto grids to represent fractional parts. As part of their Maths lessons, pupils used place value grids to identify and understand the value of hundredths.
In History, pupils designed their own passports in preparation for a virtual journey to explore the wonders of Ancient Egypt. During History, the classes investigated how early civilisations developed and the importance of historical records.
During Computing, pupils used the SketchUp program to successfully create detailed 3D models of Mesopotamian ziggurats.
It has been a wonderful start to the week as our pupils immersed themselves in the fascinating world of Ancient Greece through a variety of engaging and educational activities.
During History, pupils celebrated a Greek Dress-up Day by wearing fantastic costumes of gods, goddesses, and significant historical figures. In both their English Writing and History lesson, pupils enjoyed a traditional Greek feast and used digital tools to design their own unique Greek gods, which they will write descriptive character profiles for next week.
During a History immersive experience, pupils practiced survival techniques and carefully considered the daily challenges of ancient life. As part of their History and PE lessons, pupils participated in a Greek Olympiad to experience the competitive spirit of the ancient games.

During English, the children began reading their new class book, ‘Letters from the Lighthouse’, to understand the plot and the different characters. Building on from this, pupils explored the historical setting of their new text and shared their initial thoughts on the story's mystery. In GPS, pupils practised using coordinating and subordinating conjunctions to make their writing more detailed and clear.
Within their Art lessons, the classes completed their unit on famous environmental artists by designing and making their own relief sculptures. As part of their Art project, pupils used a variety of materials to ensure their sculptures accurately reflected their environmental themes.

We are thrilled to announce that for the upcoming academic year, Manor Park Primary School will be officially supporting The Paul Alan Project as our dedicated school charity. This is a fantastic opportunity for our children to learn about community safety, emergency skills, and the importance of quick action in critical situations.
The Paul Alan Project is a volunteer-run charity with the vital mission of saving lives through emergency preparedness. They are dedicated to preventing cardiac arrest deaths in the UK by focusing on three core areas:
Free Lifesaving Training: They provide FREE basic life support training (including how to perform CPR and confidently use a defibrillator) to individuals and organisations in the community.
Defibrillator Provision: They raise funds to install Public Access Defibrillators (PADs) and Bleed Control Kits in communities, particularly in parks and residential areas where provision is often poor.
Awareness: They raise awareness of the signs of cardiac arrest and the difference a quick response can make.
Our 2025/2026 Fundraising Goal: £2,000 for Manor Park
This money will be used to purchase and install a 24/7 Public Access Defibrillator (PAD) and a Bleed Control Kit in Manor Park. This vital equipment will be accessible to our entire local community, serving as a critical resource in a medical emergency.
How Manor Park Will Get Involved
Throughout the year, we will be holding various exciting events and activities designed to promote awareness and raise money for The Paul Alan Project. Details of these events will be shared with you soon.
