Parking is strictly prohibited outside the school gates and our children's safety is compromised by anyone who stops on the zigzag lines or on the corner of Warwick and Greyhound Road. We also ask you to be considerate of our neighbours in surrounding roads and therefore not to park across driveways at drop off and pick up times. They, too, could be parents who need to collect children from school and would be unable to get their car off the drive. Thank you for your co-operation.

If you wish to share, confidentially, parents who are using sites inappropriately, please let us know and we a will be happy to speak to them. All contact between staff and parents should be conducted with politeness whether this is in meetings or on social media. The following guidelines should be followed:

Parents should not post pictures of pupils, other than their own children, on social networking sites.
Parents should not post inappropriate comments about the school and its staff, parents or individual children on social networking sites or messaging groups.
Parents should share complaints or concerns through official school channels rather than posting them on social networking sites or messaging groups.

Year 6 pupils had a phenomenal time at the Science Museum this week! The children were captivated by the 3D IMAX documentary about Antarctica, which offered a stunning and immersive glimpse into this fascinating continent. Afterwards, they thoroughly enjoyed exploring the museum's many exhibits, delving deeper into the wonders of science and technology. This enriching experience provided a valuable opportunity to extend their learning beyond the classroom walls and ignite their curiosity about the world around them.
This week, our Reception classes explored the world of nursery rhymes and stories through a vibrant nursery rhyme workshop, where our young learners had the opportunity to immerse themselves in the magic of these timeless classics. Excitedly, they sang along to beloved melodies and even had the chance to explore their musical talents using drums and other instruments. We are proud of our Reception children and their eagerness to embrace learning through play and exploration.
It has been a fantastic week of learning across the school, with all year groups diving into their new topics with enthusiasm and curiosity.
Year 1 illuminated their classroom with their "Bright Lights, Big City" topic, mastering geographical vocabulary and identifying key features.
Year 2 embarked on a virtual journey to the coastal town of Whitby as part of their new unit, 'Coastlines', exploring its landmarks and comparing it to our own Sutton.
Year 3 delved into the fascinating world of plate tectonics, exploring how volcanoes are formed as part of their new topic, 'Rocks, Relics and Rumbles'.
Year 4 entered into their new topic, 'Misty Mountains, Winding Rivers' by turned into waterway detectives, investigating the power of rivers to shape the land.
Year 5 transformed their learning space into a vibrant orchard with their meticulously crafted papier-mâché apples with their new topic, 'Sow, Grow and Farm'.
Year 6 begun a journey into the 'Frozen Kingdom' as part of their new unit on Antarctica with a special visit to the Science Museum.

Parenting Support Offer
We know that being a parent can be both rewarding and challenging, and we all need a helping hand at times.
Knowing where to go and who to turn to can be vital to getting that help early and preventing further escalation.
Our parenting support programmes are a source of support for all parents and carers and offer an opportunity to share parenting experiences, develop a greater understanding of child development, build positive relationships and learn skills to deal with challenging behaviour.
What support can I get as a parent/carer and what do we offer in Sutton?
Please see attached information booklet here from the London Borough of Sutton Family Hubs.
