Manor Park Primary Academy School has a duty to safeguard and promote the welfare of children. This responsibility necessitates a child protection policy and procedures which are available to view on the website, or a copy can be requested from the School Office. Our designated Child Protection Officers are Ms. Thomas and Ms. Laing. Information may need to be shared with other agencies when there are concerns about a child’s welfare. Manor Park Primary Academy is committed to gender, racial, religion and disability equality in every part of school life.
Individual and Sibling Photos - 1st October 2024
We are excited to announce that individual and sibling photos will be taken on Monday, 1st October 2024.
Please ensure your child(ren) wear their school jumper or cardigan with the logo.
If your child has long hair, please tie it back neatly, and they are welcome to bring a comb or brush for touch-ups.
We kindly remind you that all sibling group photo requests have been accommodated, and we cannot accept any further bookings.
We would like to invite all Year 4 parents to a meeting to give information about the residential trip. During the meeting, we will talk through the different activities that take place at High Ashurst and will endeavour to answer any questions that you may have. The meeting will be in the Upper Hall and will start at 4:15pm, before the Year 4 Welcome Meeting at 4:45pm on Tuesday 24th September 2024.
We would encourage all parents/carers to attend the presentation as it will provide you with all the information you need to know about the trip, as well as giving you the opportunity to ask any questions.
May we please remind all parents that children will not be able to attend this meetings and should you bring a child with you you won't be able to attend either.
Was your child born between 1st September 2020 AND 31st August 2021? If so, they will be due to start Primary School in September 2025. For more information or to apply online go to www.sutton.gov.uk/admissions
The closing date for applications is 15th January 2025.
After School Clubs
May we please remind you that your child should attend each week and if for some reason they have to miss a session. a note should be sent in to their class teacher that day. Clubs finish at 4.30pm Monday to Thursday and at 3.30pm on Friday -please ensure children are collected on time.
Uniform for Clubs - Reminder
All children should be wearing their PE kits for both morning and after school clubs. For football, they are able to wear shin pads and football socks if needed. If children come home in their kit, please can it be sent back into school, so that they have it for their PE lessons and yoga that week.
Reminder For Parents
If your child injures themselves outside of school i.e in a sporting activity or even whilst playing and they required hospital treatment or a GP visit to check the injury, please come into the school office on their return to school so that we can assess if we need to put measures into place to help them whilst in school.
If the injury happens at school, and we are aware of it, and would naturally follow up a child's well-being and the outcome of any doctor or hospital check. However, if it happens outside of school hours we would not necessarily know which is why it is very important to come into the office to pass on such information. Thank you.
We are holding our first uniform sale of this academic year on Monday 7th October 2023 at 3.20pm-3.55pm in the playground (weather permitting). Please can we politely ask that you bring coins for any payments as it is not always possible for us to provide the correct change. Cash payments only.
Our last sale raised over £40 for school funds which is great and parents and carers were very glad to be able to buy these items at a very low cost. Thank you for your support.
Could we please remind parents that, if your child takes home another child's fleece or jumper, you please return this back to the school as soon as possible.

Nursery & Reception
We are delighted that our Reception children have made an exceptional start to their school journey, settling in with remarkable ease. Together, they have been diligently learning our Class Golden Rules, developing a positive and respectful learning environment. The children's enthusiasm for exploring all the various areas within the classroom has been truly inspiring. We are excited to witness their continued growth and development throughout the year.
Year 1 & Year 2
In Year 1, our little entrepreneurs enjoyed the sunshine this week, turning the outdoor space into a bustling restaurant! Washing dishes and practising their maths skills kept everyone busy. Indoors, they dove deeper into numbers, exploring the concept of "one more" with dinosaurs and building blocks.
In Year 2, our young artists were captivated by colour this week! They were experimenting with primary colours, mixing them to create beautiful secondary shades, and even trying out tinting and shading. A special visit from the @London Fire Brigade taught us important fire safety skills, from understanding smoke alarms to knowing how to get help in an emergency.
Year 3 & Year 4
This week has been a fantastic week filled with growth and discovery! In Year 4, our young learners delved into the power of positive relationships, recognising strengths in their classmates and nurturing a supportive classroom atmosphere. They also embarked on a creative journey into the world of 3D shapes, crafting innovative packaging designs from nets.
Meanwhile, In Year 3, our young mathematicians embraced technology, using Polypad to build and explore 3-digit numbers, solidifying their grasp of place value. What a wonderful blend of personal development and academic exploration!
Year 5 & Year 6
In Year 5, our inquisitive pupils have had an action-packed week! To begin, our budding journalists began planning their newspaper reports about the Yinxu dig, delving into Ancient Chinese history. Meanwhile, as part of an investigation into forces, our young scientists investigated friction through a hands-on experiment. We even had a few Year 5 students take their first cycling lesson, learning bike safety and power pushes.
Across the corridor, our Year 6 geographers honed their navigation skills, pinpointing capital cities using longitude and latitude. They also continued to develop and hone their artistic skills, learning how to create a sense of perspective in their art pieces before using a variety of tints and tones to great effect.
Year 5 & 6 Girls Football Tournament
Our Year 5 and 6 girls showcased amazing teamwork and positivity at the LEO Friendly Football Tournament this afternoon. They represented our school with pride and demonstrated the true spirit of sportsmanship.
A big well done to all the girls who participated – you played brilliantly!
Year 6 Sports Supremos
