Uniform for Clubs - Reminder
All children should be wearing their PE kits for both morning and after school clubs. For football, they are able to wear shin pads and football socks if needed. If children come home in their kit, please can it be sent back into school, so that they have it for their PE lessons and yoga that week.
Reminder For Parents
If your child injures themselves outside of school i.e in a sporting activity or even whilst playing and they required hospital treatment or a GP visit to check the injury, please come into the school office on their return to school so that we can assess if we need to put measures into place to help them whilst in school.
If the injury happens at school, and we are aware of it, and would naturally follow up a child's well-being and the outcome of any doctor or hospital check. However, if it happens outside of school hours we would not necessarily know which is why it is very important to come into the office to pass on such information. Thank you.
We'd like to invite all of our Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) parents and carers to a coffee morning on Tuesday, September 30th from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
This is a wonderful chance to meet and chat with Ms. Willett, our Foundation Stage Manager, and ask any questions you may have about your child's first few weeks in Nursery and Reception. It's a great opportunity to learn more about how we support our youngest learners as they settle into school life.
You'll also be able to meet Mrs. Thomas, our Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Lead, who will be available to answer questions about the support we provide for children with additional needs.
Lastly, we are delighted to be joined by our wonderful Friends of Manor Park (FOMP), our parent-teacher association. They will be there to share more about their fantastic work and how you can get involved in supporting the school community.
This Week in Year 1!
This week, Year 1 pupils have been learning about past coronations in their history lesson.
They engaged in creative activities like making crowns and building castles to understand what it's like to be a royal.
The pupils of Year 1 also explored various apparatus during their Real PE lesson.
They successfully developed a range of physical skills throughout the activity.
All three classes demonstrated great enthusiasm and engagement in their respective lessons.
The activities provided valuable, hands-on learning experiences for the pupils.

They also demonstrated their historical knowledge and creativity by scripting their own podcast episodes focused on the Anglo-Saxon invasion of Britain. These activities allowed pupils to develop key skills in research, historical inquiry, and geographical awareness.
These projects provided an excellent opportunity for cross-curricular learning, blending History, Geography, and creative writing.
One pupil, Angie, brought the Viking era to life with a beautifully crafted Viking village as part of her creative choice project.
