Manor Park Primary Academy
Weekly Notices and Reminders
Friday 17th November 2023
Learning, Excellence and Opportunity
Manor Park Primary Academy School has a duty to safeguard and promote the welfare of children. This responsibility necessitates a child protection policy and procedures which are available to view on the website, or a copy can be requested from the School Office. Our designated Child Protection Officers are Ms. Thomas and Ms. Laing. Information may need to be shared with other agencies when there are concerns about a child’s welfare. Manor Park Primary Academy is committed to gender, racial, religion and disability equality in every part of school life.
School Notices and Reminders
We will be including some general reminders in our Weekly Notices sheet in the coming weeks for the benefit of our new parents/carers, which we hope you will find useful. The Weekly Notices and Reminder Sheet is sent out every Friday and includes dates of forthcoming events, school visits and workshops and important messages and reminders about school life.
Class WhatsApp Groups
May we please remind all parents/guardians that 'parent led' class WhatsApp groups should be a positive communication tool between parents/guardians. If you have a concern about your child, you can either speak with your child's class teacher at the end of the day or contact the school office via telephone call or email to arrange a meeting between yourself and the class teacher.

Reception – Year 6 Nasal/ Injectable Flu Vaccination session: 05/12/2023
Flu can be an unpleasant illness and sometimes causes serious complications. This vaccination is recommended to help protect your child against flu. Vaccinating your child will also help protect more vulnerable family and friends by preventing the spread of flu. This year we will be offering both nasal and injectable (halal) flu vaccination and the parent can make an informed choice on the consent form.
Please use the link provided to access the electronic consent form https://sav.hrch.nhs.uk/flu/2023/sutton
Please complete one consent form for each child to ensure your child receives their vaccination.
You have 1 week until the deadline for submitting your e-consent form which is midnight on Tuesday, 28/11/2023.
Please complete the consent form even if you decide you do not want to vaccinate your child against flu this year.
If you have any queries, please contact the relevant immunisation team below.

Workshops and School Visits
Can we please remind all parents that school workshops and trips rely on the contributions of parents in order for the trips/workshops to go ahead and unfortunately these may be cancelled if we do not receive payments.
If you are having any difficulties making the payments, please contact the school office to discuss this further.
Juniper Hall residential trip for year 4 deposit payment is now overdue. If you have not made a payment yet please do so as soon as possible. Also, online consent form are a requirement for the trip. If you haven't completed it yet please do so as soon as possible - without it your child won't be able to go on the trip.
Thank you so much for your support.
Appointment Through The School Day
Please try to make dental and G.P appointments after school wherever possible to minimise gaps in your child's learning. We require a copy of letters for hospital appointments, visits to embassies or passport offices and high school entrance exams to enable us to authorise these appointments. We can copy the original documents, if necessary.
Also, if you have a personal appointment please could you make the necessary arrangements to ensure that this does not impact your child's attendance and school time.
Christmas Dinner
Christmas Dinner will take place on Wednesday 6th December.
As shared last week, please click here for easy access to the form in order to book your child / children a Christmas lunch.
Please complete this form whether your child normally has a school lunch/grab and go lunch on Wednesdays or if your child is/will be a packed lunch from home.
