Manor Park Wraparound - Changes to Drop-Off and Collection
From Monday 10th March, there will be changes to the way Manor Park Wraparound operate the drop-off and collection of pupils both before and after school.
In order to streamline the process, the main school office at the front of school will now be closed. Alternatively, we ask that you drop-off and collect your child from the Winter Door next to the school Bistro, which you can access via the pathway which runs alongside the front office entrance. A video phone and buzzer has been installed, which will be signposted for ease, where you can alert a member of staff of your arrival before walking your child round.
For further information, please see the letter that emailed out to parents and adults of Manor Park Wraparound here.
Travelling Book Fair
The Travelling Book Company's book fair was an incredible success in school this week and we would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your support .
As part of the book fair, for every book purchased, Manor Park will receive a healthy commission on book sales which we will spend on books for the School Library and classrooms for all our pupils to enjoy!
We look forward to letting you know the final total raised and how the money has been spent in due course!
Year 6 Mock SAT's Week
Year 6 mock SAT's will be taking place throughout next week.
Please remind them of the following pointers to help them through next week:
Get a good night’s sleep.
Make sure you arrive in school on time.
Remember to bring a water bottle into school.
Bring a piece of fruit for a mid-morning health snack.
Above all, relax, don’t worry and do your best.
VegPower - Eat Them To Defeat Them
This year Manor Park will be joining over 1,500 schools across the UK in participating in the VegPower ‘Eat Them to Defeat Them’ campaign. A study by VegPower showed that 80% of children are not eating enough vegetables. VegPower- ‘Eat them to Defeat Them’ is a nationwide campaign designed to encourage healthy eating and to get children eating more vegetables.
The campaign will span over 4 weeks, beginning Monday 10th March 2025. Each week, a new vegetable will be introduced and explored in a weekly assembly where children will learn fun facts about the vegetable. In the lunch hall, children who try the ‘vegetable of the week’ will be able to earn a sticker to ‘Eat them to defeat them!’.
To find out more about the ‘Eat Them to Defeat Campaign’, you can access the parent guide here.

World Book Day Celebrations at Manor Park
World Book Day at Manor Park Primary was a resounding success. It was a delight to see our pupils (and staff too) arrive dressed as a diverse array of beloved literary characters. From classic figures like Matilda and Harry Potter to more contemporary favourites such as 'Dog Man', the children’s creativity and passion for reading was fun for all to see.
Each year group engaged in a variety of enriching activities designed to celebrate the power of books. Our youngest learners enjoyed interactive storytelling sessions and crafted their own miniature books, while older pupils participated in book-themed debates, creative writing workshops, and collaborative projects. It was a day of joyous celebration, reinforcing the importance of reading and igniting a lifelong love of literature in all our pupils.
David Mason Author Visit to KS2
Earlier this week, it was a delight to welcome the wonderful author and poet, David Mason, to Manor Park Primary!
Our Key Stage 2 children were utterly captivated by his hilarious and engaging assembly, where stories and laughter filled the hall. The excitement didn't stop there; David then led a series of dynamic drama-based workshops. It was a joy to witness the children's creativity flourish, as they explored characters, crafted narratives, and brought their ideas to life. The energy and enthusiasm were infectious, and we're incredibly grateful to David for sharing his passion for storytelling with our pupils.
International Women's Day Celebrations at Manor Park
This week, Manor Park celebrated International Women's Day designed to inspire our pupils. Across all year groups, children explored the achievements of significant women from diverse fields, including science, literature, and social activism, where they learned about the lasting impact these women have had on our world, fostering a deeper understanding of gender equality and the importance of female contributions to society.
Our pupils then showcased their learning in a series of creative arts activities. From powerful presentations and informative posters to captivating drama performances and inspiring artwork, they showcased their knowledge beautifully.
We are immensely proud of the thoughtful and enthusiastic way our pupils embraced this important day.
'Supertato' Comes to Life in Reception
A huge well done to our wonderful Reception class, who have been utterly captivated by the hilarious adventures of Supertato! From a dramatic retelling of the story to creating their very own super-powered potatoes, they have enjoyed showing their love and creativity for reading.
It is always a joy to see pupils demonstrate our LEO Explorer Value of Creativity through all their hard work and fantastic art pieces! Well done all!
Year 3 and Year 4 Gymnastics Success
Earlier this week, a select group of our Year 3 and 4 gymnasts represented the school at the LEO Sports Gymnastics competition. We are incredibly proud of their dedication and hard work, which was evident in their confident and skillful performances. They showcased their abilities in both floor and vault routines, demonstrating excellent technique and composure.
Well done to each and every one of you for representing Manor Park so wonderfully!
Key Stage 2 Triumph at Panathlon
A huge well done to our fantastic Key Stage 2 team who participated in the Sutton Sports Partnership Panathlon this week! Our children demonstrated exceptional fundamental movement skills, tackling each fun and engaging station with enthusiasm and determination.
