Manor Park Welcome Department for Education for a Successful Visit.
Earlier this week, members of the Department for Education (DfE) visited Manor Park Primary School to observe the practical application of the newly released Writing Framework. Led by Ms Williamson (Principal), Mr Perrott (Director of English) and Ms Wilkinson (Executive Director of Education for LEO Academy, our visitors were provided with a valuable insight to English Writing not just at Manor Park but across all LEO schools.
The visitors were highly complimentary regarding the school's successful embedding of practices designed to develop pupils' speaking, listening, and communication skills. High praise was also received for the methods employed to enhance pupils' handwriting and overall written communication. The DfE representatives noted the effectiveness of adaptive practices—including collaboration, flexible groupings, and the use of assistive technology—in supporting pupils' learning. Furthermore, the DfE representatives thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to meet with the school's Pupil Voice Group where they were able to share their positive views effectively.
Overall, the entire visit was deemed a significant success by all parties and we would like to take this opportunity to thank all our pupils for their hard work, commitment and dedication towards their learning.
