KEW GARDENS
Tuesday 25th March 25
As part of our Spring 1 topic, ‘Vanishing Rainforest’, we have arranged a fantastic trip to Kew Gardens for the Year 4 children. On this trip, the children will have the chance to learn outside of the classroom, explore the gardens and take part in a 90 minute rainforest workshop.
We will be travelling to and from Kew Gardens by coach, leaving school at 9:00am and arriving back at approximately 3:45pm. Children should be collected from the School Office. The children should wear school uniform, however, as there will be some walking involved throughout the day, they may wear trainers/comfortable shoes.
Lunch will be eaten at the venue, please can you provide your child with a packed lunch. If you would like school to provide a packed lunch please email the office by Friday 28th February 25.
We would highly recommend the children use a small rucksack. Please do not send your child with a large lunchbox or bag as they will have to carry it.
We may also need some parent volunteers. If you are available on this date and would like to offer your help, please email the school office. We will then contact you to confirm your help.
We are very excited about this great opportunity for the children. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
This trip will cost £22 and payment should be made via Arbor/Activities/Trips by Friday 28th February 25.
ROMAN WORKSHOP
Thursday 3rd October 24
As part of our Year 4 History curriculum this term, we have booked a 'Life in Roman Britain' workshop. During this workshop, your children will have the chance to explore the daily lives of Romans through hands-on activities and artefacts, learn about Roman culture and traditions, and take part in some Roman games.
It will take place on Thursday 3rd October and the cost per child is £7.70. This will be payable through Arbor/Activities/Trips.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact your child's class teacher or the office.
Thank you for your continued support.

We feel it is important that all our pupils have access to the wider opportunities offered by our Trust. If you are experiencing any financial difficulties please contact your child’s teacher or if you prefer the school office. Any communication will be held in strict confidence.
You can find out more about our residential trip to High Ashurst through our online presentation:
Year 4 - High Ashurst, Box Hill
Residential trips organised by the school are, of course, an optional but invaluable part of the National Curriculum. Pupils benefit hugely from the experience, both educationally and socially and we feel certain that the trip we have chosen this year will prove to be both enjoyable and very worthwhile.
At the start of this term, teachers from your child’s year group will be holding an assembly for the children to share the exciting news and more detailed information about the residential trip.
In order to help you spread the cost of this trip, we have suggested a payment plan below. Arbor will not prompt you to make scheduled payments so please set a reminder to make them. Arbor allows you to pay the outstanding balance or additional payments at any time.
If at any time you are experiencing financial difficulties and are unable make a payment please contact the School Office. Any communication will be held in strict confidence.
