BOCKETTS FARM
Tuesday 12th May 26
As part of our ‘Ants to Elephants’ topic, we are learning about farm animals. To develop and enhance our learning, the children will be visiting Bocketts Farm on Tuesday 12th May during normal school hours. Activities will include a tour of the farm, small animal encounters, a tractor ride and pig racing.
Lunch will be eaten at the venue, please can you provide your child with a packed lunch. If you would like school to provide a packed lunch and water please email the office no later than 30th April.
We would highly recommend the children use a small rucksack. Please do not send your child with a large lunch box or bag as they will have to carry it.
This trip will cost £27 and payment can be made on Arbor, under Activities/Trips. This cost covers the admission and coach to and from the farm.
We hope your child will enjoy the trip and we thank you for your ongoing support.
Kind regards
The Reception Team
SPONSORED SCOOT
Friday 10th October
We're excited to announce a fun-filled Sponsored Scoot event for our Nursery and Reception children on Friday 10th October! On the morning of the event, please bring your child's scooter to school, if they could be named it will avoid any mix-ups. Please let your child’s class teacher know if you do not have one to bring in. We encourage you to reach out to family and friends to sponsor your child for this exciting event. All the money raised will go towards purchasing new play equipment for the EYFS children, which will greatly enhance their learning and play experiences. On Friday you will receive the sponsorship form. Please send any sponsorship money in a sealed envelope clearly marked with your child’s name and class by Monday 20th October. We look forward to a fantastic Sponsored Scoot and appreciate your support in making this event a success! Kind regards The Reception Team
EXPRESS & SHARE
Hedgehogs - Thursday 23rd October 2:30 - 3:00 pm
Otters - Friday 24th October 2:30 - 3:00 pm
We have been enjoying our ‘This is me’ topic and have been learning about themselves, families and friendships. We would like to invite parents into school to allow children to share with their parents or family member their learning in school. All children can explore their own classroom and outside area with their adult. Each class will have a 30 minute session for 1 parent or family member only per child. Due to the nature of moving and allowing space for children to explore activities and share with their parents this is limited to one parent or carer only per child on their classes’ day.
Please see your day and time:
Hedgehogs - Thursday 23rd October 2:30 - 3:00 pm
Otters - Friday 24th October 2:30 - 3:00 pm (Access school via Stoughton Gate)
We ask that parents/ family members arrive promptly. After the session, you can take your children home as this will be the end of the school day. Due to the nature of the activities and learning, babies (including Nursery age children) may not accompany you for the Autumn share event as this is an opportunity for your child to share their learning with the adults. We therefore ask that you make alternative arrangements for these younger siblings, as unfortunately you will not be able to attend should you bring them. Please could we ask that if your child requires the toilet during your session that they go into the toilets independently and the parent waits outside for your own safeguarding. Should your child require any support please find any member of staff and they will be happy to help.
