Confident Children Enjoying Learning

Manor Park Primary Academy has a duty to safeguard and promote the welfare of children. This responsibility necessitates a child protection policy and procedures which are available to view on the website and Fronter as are all our policies, or a copy can be requested from the School Office. Our designated Child Protection Officers are Ms A Thomas and Ms D Laing. Information may need to be shared with other agencies when there are concerns about a child’s welfare. Manor Park Primary Academy is committed to gender, racial, religion and disability equality in every part of school life.

School Notices and Reminders

Welcome back everyone. We hope you had a wonderful Christmas and a very Happy New Year.

Spring Term always sounds lovely as we look forward to warmer weather and lighter evenings but we have a little way to go yet and in the past few years we have seen snow in February and March. Our first priority will be to ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of pupils, staff, parents and families.

In the event of heavy snow before the school day starts and there is a possibility of school, closure, parents and carers should check whether the school is open by checking the school website: http//www.manorparkprimary.co.uk or checking the London Borough of Sutton's website. The school will aim to send out a Parentmail message to all parents by 8.00am if the school is closing.

If it is decided that the school will open, parents should email or text the school via Parentmail if they are likely to be late.

Year 1 Coming into School from 8.30am

Now that the children are moving towards more formal learning in Year 1, the doors will be open in the morning from 8.30am from Monday 13th January for any Year 1 children to come into school. As always, please can parents/carers drop their child off at the Winter Door and ensure they enter the school building safely and sensibly.

Health and Safety Notice

No Nuts in School. Some of our children have serious nut allergies which can be life threatening. Please try to make sure that your child does not bring nuts into school. No peanut butter or Nutella sandwiches, snack bars or biscuits containing nuts and no small boxes of nuts and raisins please.

Leaflets

From time to time we receive leaflets and flyers from outside agencies offering tuition or sporting activities. Whilst we are happy to send them home with the children, please be aware that it does not mean that the school endorses the companies or agencies involved. Please ensure that you make the necessary enquiries to check the credentials of any club or service that you may be interested in for your child.

Message from F. O.M.P

F.O.M.P would like to invite you to a Coffee Morning on Friday 17th January after morning drop-off at 9.00am. Small children are welcome. Join Myriam and the team for a tea or coffee and a chat, whether you are interested in helping F.O.M.P or just meeting new parents and carers. Everyone is welcome.

Venue: Salvation Army Headquarters, Benhill Avenue, Sutton.
