Hurst Park Primary Academy is looking for volunteers to enhance children's learning. Volunteers are highly valued and appreciated by children and staff. In the past, volunteers have helped children with reading and maintaining the Library. Volunteers must complete a comprehensive induction programme, including a DBS check, and adhere to our Safeguarding procedures. Volunteering hours are flexible. If you are interested in making a difference, please complete the Volunteer Registration form to apply. Please note that volunteers will not be placed in their child's class.
Our Year 6 children have spent the last six weeks creating their informative Cities Projects. They focused on different aspects of their city, e.g. Geography, History, Culture, Sports, Food, Festivals and Languages. Some children made intricate, interesting models linked to their city, whilst others made delicious food treats. A Table Top Gallery was held for the children to showcase what they had produced. Our Year 6 cohort should be really proud of themselves and of what they have achieved.
On the penultimate day of term, Year 6 took part in their Come Dine With Me project. The children worked in small groups to create a three course meal. They worked collaboratively together, then shared their scrumptious feasts with one another.
