TRANSITION TO SECONDARY SCHOOL 2025
Please see attached information from Sutton Admissions regarding Transfer to Secondary School 2025.
Any changes to this information will be published on the Sutton Admissions website as well as on secondary school websites.
We were pleased to welcome some of your families to our open Morning on Saturday, and wondered if you would be so kind as to pass on the following details.
We are offering one last opportunity to visit us for any current Year 6 families considering their 11+ options for 2025 entry.
Join us for an 11+ Personal Tour morning at Sutton High School GDST this Thursday morning, 26th September at 9am. Hear briefly from The Head and some current Year 7 pupils and enjoy a guided tour of the school on a normal school day. Register for the Personal Tour morning here.
Our 11+ deadline is a little earlier that some other schools, so just a gentle reminder that 11+ applications for September 2025 entry must be received by 1st October.
You can apply online here.
We do know that choosing the right Senior School is extremely important, so we do hope that your families can take advantage of the extra opportunity to visit us.
With best wishes,
Julie White
Registrar

Dealing with change and transitions toolkit Primary
The end of an academic year brings a range of emotions. It is a time for reflection and celebrating achievements, as well as excitement with the summer holidays on the horizon. However, it is also a time of change and upheaval which can feel difficult and cause anxious feelings. Some children will have come to the end of their time at primary school and will be getting ready to leave, and the others will be preparing to move on to a new school year next term. Everyone in school will also be preparing for the shift from the routine of the school day, to no formal education structure across the summer break. In this toolkit, we’ve collected resources to help primary pupils deal with change and prepare for the summer break. We’ve also included resources for those pupils who will be leaving your school, to help them feel more settled and prepared. We’ve also worked with education staff mental health charity Education Support on some guidance for staff, to help you look after your mental wellbeing over the holidays.
