NURSERY & RECEPTION SPONSORED SCOOT
Friday 11th October
We're excited to announce a fun-filled Sponsored Scoot event for our Nursery and Reception children on Friday 11th October!
Sponsor form here
On the morning of the event, please bring your child's scooter to school. It would be helpful if you could label the scooter to avoid any mix-ups. Please let your child’s class teacher know if you do not have one to bring in.
We encourage you to reach out to family and friends to sponsor your child for this exciting event. All the money raised will go towards purchasing new play equipment for the EYFS children, which will greatly enhance their learning and play experiences.
Please send any sponsorship money in a sealed envelope clearly marked with your child’s name and class.
We look forward to a fantastic Sponsored Scoot and appreciate your support in making this event a success!
Kind regards,
The EYFS Team
SHOW RACISM THE RED CARD
RECEPTION EXPRESS & SHARE
We are excited for our ‘This is me’ topic. The children will be learning about themselves, families and friendships. We would like to invite parents into school to allow children to share with their parents or carers their learning in school. All children can explore their own classroom and outside area.
Each class will be allowed one 30 minute session for 1 parent or carer only per child. Due to the nature of moving and allowing space for children to explore activities and share with their parents this is limited to one parent or carer only per child on their classes’ day.
Please see your day and time:
Hedgehogs - Tuesday 22nd October 2:30 - 3:00 pm
Otters- Thursday 24th October 2:30 - 3:00 pm
(Access school via Stoughton Gate)
We ask that parents/ carers arrive promptly. After the session, you can take your children home as this will be the end of the school day. Due to the nature of the activities and learning, babies (including Nursery age children) may not accompany you for the Autumn share event as this is an opportunity for your child to share their learning with the adults. We therefore ask that you make alternative arrangements for these younger siblings, as unfortunately you will not be able to attend should you bring them.
Please could we ask that if your child requires the toilet during your session that they go into the toilets independently and the parent waits outside for your own safeguarding. Should your child require any support please find any member of staff and they will be happy to help.
SCHOOL PHOTOS
Friday 25th October 24
We have our school Photographers visiting Cheam Fields Primary on Friday 25th October to take individual photos of the children.
All children need to arrive in school uniform including their school jumpers.
If you have more than one child in the school and would like a sibling photo, please arrive at school from 7:45am and come to the main office. You will need to wait with your children while their photos are taken together. After they have had their photos taken you will need to take them to the main playground gate at the normal time of 8:30-8:40am
YEAR 2 WORKSHOP
Friday 25th October
As part of the children’s topic, 'People of the Past’, for next half term, we have arranged a 'Quest for Neil Armstrong and Christopher Columbus' History workshop to take place in school. In this workshop, the children will meet a young Neil Armstrong, launch into space in Apollo 11 and then splash down in the Pacific as they travel home from the moon, unearthing many a moon landing fact along the way.
The workshop will take place on Friday 25th October and the cost per child is £5.00. This will be payable through Arbor/Activities/Trips.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact your child's class teacher or the office.
Many thanks,
The Year 2 Team
