Each month we will be promoting the work of a specific author.
Our 'Author of the Month' for May is...
Onjali Rauf
Why do you think sharing stories is so important?
Because I cannot bear to imagine a world where the real world and my very small corner of it is all there is. Stories in whatever form – a book, a song, a piece of art – open up worlds, experiences, histories and imaginings we might never otherwise access. It’s so crucial we have the capacity to travel as far as we can in our minds and then farther still. It’s one of the most beautiful things about the human brain – the ability to imagine. Stories keep that ability alive!
Each month we will be promoting the work of a specific Composer.
Our 'Composer of the Month' for May is...
John Williams
(born February 8, 1932) is an American composer, conductor, and pianist. In a career that has spanned seven decades, he has composed some of the most popular, recognizable and critically acclaimed film scores in cinematic history

That illustrates what music means to you and why it is important. Be creative!
It could be a photograph, drawing, painting, computer design, or collage.
A short caption (1 -2 sentences) that explains what music means to you.
Your full first name, the initial of your first name, school name and year group.
Incorporate the hashtag #SuttonSTEAMsAhead
How will my image be used?
Your image will be displayed as part of an exhibition on 1st July as part of Shed Loads of Happiness. It will be on the Sutton Music Trust website and will be stored in the borough's digital archive as a record of how young people from Sutton feel about music in 2023.
