ELMER DAY - NURSERY, RECEPTION
We shall be celebrating on Wednesday 24th May!
This year all EYFS settings across the LEO Trust will be celebrating ‘Elmer Day’ on Wednesday 24th June, just earlier than the national date 27th May, which is a Saturday. The focus on this day is being unique and spreading positivity.
Elmer spreads cheer and happiness with his distinctive colours, so on this day we would like the children to take part in a ‘splash of colour day’, adding colour to their school uniform. This may be by wearing a coloured headband, a hat, a scarf etc.
Please be aware that usual activities (forest school/PE/swimming) will continue on this day so please dress your child appropriately.
We are excited to see the array of colours!

YEAR 6 - ISLE OF WIGHT MEETING
Thursday 8th June at 5:00 - 5:30 - School hall
The Year 6 Isle of Wight Residential Trip on the 17th - 21st July 2023 is fast approaching.
We will be holding an information meeting on Thursday 8th June at 5:00 - 5:30 in the school hall so that we can discuss the arrangements with you. This will be a chance for you to ask any questions that you may have.
Payment for the trip can be made through Arbor/Activities/Trips.
Please enter the hall via the school car park.
YEAR 6 - UPDATES
As we approach the final few weeks of your child's time at Cheam Fields, we have lots of fun and exciting events planned to mark the end of the year.
Please see below upcoming key dates:
Thursday 8th June at 5pm - Isle of Wight Parent Meeting in the Hall
Thursday 29th June at 9.15 - Dress rehearsal for Years 4 and 5
Wednesday 5th July at 1.30pm - Production afternoon
Wednesday 5th July at 6pm - Production evening 1
Thursday 6th July at 6pm - Production evening 2
Tuesday 11th July at 3.15pm - Fun night (Year 6 vs Staff matches, bouncy castle, photo booth, disco, water fight, pizza)
Thursday 13th July at 2:15pm - Leavers assembly at 2.15pm
Friday 14th July - Shirt signing and ice cream van
Monday 17th July - Friday 21st July - Isle of Wight residential
As well as that, we have also planned a range of other exciting opportunities for children to take part in, including trips to the local parks, a film afternoon, a quiz afternoon, mini sports tournaments, etc. More detailed information regarding each of the events will be emailed nearer the time.
It is our hope that these opportunities will lead to lots of great final memories of Cheam Fields before pupils head off to high school.
