Science Week
Monday 13th March - Friday 17th March
During the British Science Week, the children have been taking part in a variety of exciting activities to showcase their scientific enquiry skills. The theme of the week has been Sustainability and the children have been gaining an understanding and exploring different ways to help our planet through Science.
They have immersed themselves in a range of experiences including bug and bird hunts around the school, designing their own sustainable gardens, creating recycling art and much more!
KS1 Science Club
The Children have been really busy this half term making their own volcanos. Today they had a brilliant time using vinegar and baking soda to make them erupt!
Year 2 - Science Club
Happy Science Week! Year 2 had a fantastic time reusing plastic materials after listening to the story ‘Someone Swallowed Stanley’. We discovered how to transform plastic bags into kites and flew them!
Year 3 - Science Week
Year 3 have been investigating friction in Science. We tested different materials using a toy car. We concluded that the smooth surfaces, created the least friction.

Year 5 created fantastic posters today about recycling to show others why it is so important for our environment!
Year 6 - Science Week
The Year 6 Children have been busy conducting an investigation in how they can help Sutton Council with their street lights.

This year's theme is 'The Veg are taking over the World' to promote the global diversity of food in our school menus.
