Last Friday 16th , Cheam Fields were at the borough athletics event. Well done to all the children who took part, you showed great collaboration and perseverance in each race,  you all did amazing. A big shout out to the following; 

Charlie Francis coming second is his Sprint heat event, and then finishing 3rd in the final sprint race. 

Thea, for coming 2nd in the 600m run, she also paced herself well and was able to sprint past the final few to get her second place. 

Izabella came 3rd in her 600m run, she paced herself brilliantly and was able to run past opponents to get that position.

Daniel, for coming 2nd in his 600m race, again had great pace throughout and persevered till the end. 

Rory came 3rd in the 500m distance run, he kept a great pace throughout and left enough energy to sprint the last few metres to get past other racers.

Both boys and girls yr 6 relay teams came second in their heats, well done.

Some pupils from Year 5 attended a Coached cycling session learning all about understanding  gears and using them when going up or down hills.
