Opportunity
On Saturday 9th July 2022, Shawley Community Primary Academy (part of the LEO Academy Trust), will be running a children's market, run by children for children. The idea is that children can set up and run their own business for the day and any profit they make will be their own. We want it to be an event for children in the community.
They would love for children from across LEO schools to have the chance to run their own stalls too. Click here for all the information and to sign up.
We are looking to host another Small Change, Big Difference course with Adapt to Learn. For those that are unfamiliar with this course, we run this as an alternative to the Early Bird programme. Some information about this is below.
If you are interested in attending this course, please email: sutton@nas.org.uk and we'll be in touch.
‘Small Change, Big Difference’ Parent Group for parents of children with a diagnosis of autism.
The aim is to empower parents, supporting them to help their children by developing an in-depth understanding of autism. Taking a positive approach, we will explore, share and discuss practical strategies to help develop communication skills, pre-empt and manage behaviour and gain confidence and resilience.
During the sessions, parents will be given the opportunity to make connections, gain support and feel less isolated.
Each course comprises of four x 1.5-hour sessions and will cover a range of topics.
With the Womens EUROs being held in England this summer, we anticipate a boom in girls wanting to play football. At Carshalton Athletic, we will be running Girls teams in 2022/23 season at U8, U9, U10, U11 and U12 age groups - so basically from 6 year olds through to year 7
If any of your female pupils are interested in joining our club, please can you ask them to register at https://form.123formbuilder.com/6134749/ (you can access this form from https://www.carshaltonathletic.co.uk/trials). Don't worry about the dates against the age groups. Just register and we will be able to contact any girls interested in trying out.
Training sessions will be organised when we have sufficient numbers to make them workable and I will contact parents who register to let them know the schedule. Qualified coaches are already in place for these teams.
