Wednesday 18th January - Netball Match Vs Anenue Primary

Match Report

Our first netball game of 2023, ended in an incredible 9-4 win against Avenue Primary. With little practice due to weather, the girls showed some amazing team work throughout the match. After a couple of minutes of both teams getting into the swing of it, Cheam Fields scored their first goal. With some great determination and team plays, the girls moved around the court beautifully and with some great passing got the ball into the semi-circle and scored their second goal. Avenue fought back with some amazing intercepting and passing to get the ball to their shooter and gained their first goal. Cheam fields carried on their brilliant movement around the court to get 3 more goals before half time.

(HT Cheam Fields 5- 1 Avenue)

The second half started with more determination from Avenue, with some great team play they get their second goal of the match. Carrying this on Avenue gained 1 more goal, putting the pressure on us. Cheam fields worked together to get themselves back in the game, with some quick passing and some lovely feeds into the semi-circle they gained 3 more goals. With only 2 minutes left Avenue defended hard and made it difficult for Cheam Fields, however with a perfect centre pass, and accurate feed into the shooter, Cheam fields finished the match with their last goal.

(FT Cheam Fields 9 - 3 Avenue)

Well done Netball team, you showed great team work and resilience!
