To kick start their Learning Unit 'Existing, Endangered, Extinct' Year 5 discovered why it is important to draw accurate, observational drawings and learned how to scale up images.
This year all EYFS settings across the LEO Trust will be celebrating ‘Winnie the Pooh Day’ on Tuesday 18th January, which is the birthday of A.A Milne, Winnie the Pooh’s creator.
The focus on this day is ‘kindness’ and what we can do to make others feel positive about themselves, as well as realising how being kind to others makes us feel. This in turn, should help the children to understand the importance of being kind and thinking about others whenever we can on a day to day basis.
Our Spring Parent Consultations meetings will take place during the week commencing 7th February.
These meetings will take place virtually. A letter will be sent home with sign up instructions on Monday 24th January.
Please note there will not be any clubs run by class teachers on Wednesday 9th February and Thursday 10th February. All other clubs will continue to run including Mandarin.
We will send out the Google meet codes for each class on Thursday 3rd February 2022.
There will also be an opportunity for you to come in and see your child's work. More information will be sent home in the sign up letter.

The Back to School Competition is an exciting event that all Doodle schools can join.
From Friday 21st January until Thursday 3rd February, every pupil needs to work in the green zone (achieve their target number of stars) in DoodleMaths, DoodleEnglish, DoodleSpell or all three programmes.
After the 3rd of February, Doodle will count up the percentage of students in each class who were in the green zone during this time. The class with the highest % of pupils on target will win a bundle of educational games worth £50!
