Well done to Fred (Sapphire) who researched Sharks and how they effect marine life and our oceans.
An extra special congratulations too for being our first every entry!
We have had a great 'mathematical' week as part of the LEO Maths Week.
Children, both at home and in school, have been busy creating their own Maths board games, taking part in live events and designing their number fancy dress.
What a fun week we've all had!
Thank you to those who came along to one of our workshops this week.
If you were unable to join us, please click the links below to see the recordings.
During this current, exceptional, period, it is important we look after our mental as well as our physical health. Therefore, next week, we will be helping children think about how they can look after their mental health. During the week, children will be asked to complete a daily activity from the mental wellbeing choiceboard linked to the NHS 5 steps to mental wellbeing.
The theme of this year’s week is ‘Express Yourself’ so we are also asking children to choose a way to express themselves. This could be through dancing, painting, cooking or singing - whatever they like!
On Friday, we will have a ‘Dress to Express’ day where children can wear their own clothes to help them express themselves.
We hope while enjoying the activities and tasks children also learn the importance of looking after their mental health.
We can’t wait to see how they express themselves!

Well done to Killian (Amber) who has been awareded a Silver Blue Peter Badge for sending in a letter, writing a poem and doing some magic painting.
Great Work Killian!
Congratulations to James (Amber) who received his Chief Scout’s Bronze Award. This is the highest badge you can earn in Beavers and it means he can soon move up to Cubs.
To get this award James had to help set and clear the table for dinner every night for 4 weeks. He also had to teach his little brother how to use Stop Animation on the computer and to help him make his own little video which he presented at the Beaver Zoom meeting on Friday evening.
Well done James!

Bite Back 2030 first began producing Cook with Jack every school day on YouTube to encourage pupils to get cooking while schools were closed during lockdown. Jack Deane showed us how to put together a series of healthy, tasty and affordable lunches.
He took us through five lunchtime recipes, all from a £15 weekly shopping list that’s in line with the value of free school meals provision, with the majority of the recipes within the School Food Standards.
At Bite Back 2030 we want healthy food to be an option for all of us wherever we live. Our vision is a world where all young people have equal access to good food and good health, including those from disadvantaged backgrounds. We want to help get kids cooking in the kitchen by teaching them fun and easy to follow recipes with our brilliant chef Jack!
Each week we put a brief synopsis of one of our Battle of the Books in the newsletter from a year group’s book list.
Year 6 - Children of Green Knowe - Lucy Boston
Tolly's great grandmother isn't a witch, but both she and her old house, Green Knowe, are full of a very special kind of magic. There are other children in the house - children who were happy there centuries before. Running around Green Knowe's moat, gardens and mysterious rooms, Tolly slowly discovers them, their toys and animals, and their wonderful stories . . .
