Welcome to our new look Cheam Common Junior Newsletter. Within the newsletter, you will find various 'quick links' that will help you navigate the site, making it much easier to find information you require at Cheam Common Junior.
We would first like to thank both children and adult for all their support during last week's Children in Need Pyjama Mufti Day, helping raise money for charity. Together, we raised an incredible ÂŁ579.97 which will go along way in helping improve the lives of many children.
This week, children have been incredibly busy across the school with an array of exciting learning opportunities. Walking around the school, it has been lovely to see and hear our wonderful children so fully engaged with their learning: asking questions, being inquisitive and collaborating with their classmates. Classes have also been excitingly preparing for the upcoming festive celebrations including practising their Christmas carol performances, which they are excited to share with family and friends virtually on December 13th & 14th. Alongside the upcoming Christmas Performance, children can also look forward to our Virtual Pantomime (w/c 13th December) and their class parties (16th December).
Thanks to Usborne Books, Cheam Common Junior have teamed up to hold a virtual book fair, where you can have a look at an array of children's book all at a discounted price. With so many on offer, these would make the perfect present this season. For further information and all the links you need, check out the News & Updates link below via our new 'Cheam Common Junior Links' portal.
Finally, we would like to say a huge thank you to the Friends of Cheam Common who have put together a wonderful School Disco for both the Infants and Juniors. With snacks and drinks provided, children (and teachers too) danced the night away. We would look forward to future upcoming events in the new year.
Based on Public Health England and DfE guidance issued this week, the decision has been made to revert year groups into bubbles as part of ongoing procedures and protocols. Throughout the school, sanitising stations, regular cleaning and social distancing is being promoted and we are limiting large gatherings where possible. During this period, as government guidance states, if your child remains well they are required to stay in school even if somebody in your household has tested positive. Should your child develop any symptoms, you must take a PCR test and keep your child at home during this period, before informing the School Office of the results. As always, should we receive further guidance, we will always communicate and update you as soon as possible.
Please can we remind all parents and carers, that only information issued by the School is to be followed as we aware that information has been incorrectly shared via What's App groups and social media. Should you have any questions, please speak to a member of the Senior Leadership team via the School Office.
