Playing against Barrow Hedges, our boys played superbly, showing wonderful teamwork and great sportsmanship ending with a 2 - 0 win.
After a great year for the Year 6 Boys team, we are pleased that they bring the trophy back to Cheam Common Junior.
Well done to Mr Ewing for his fantastic coaching and support this year and a very special well done to the boys for playing excellently.
On Tuesday, 25 lucky Year 6 children were excited to visit the Iconic Wembley Stadium to watch England play Ivory Coast as part of a friendly match.
Travelling up, children represented the school proudly as they took in the sights and sounds that London had to offer before taking their seats to watch the match unfold.
After a 3-0 victory to England, children were buzzing from watching such a spectacle. Thank you to Miss Kelly, Mrs Culver and Miss Brooks for accompanying the children for such a wonderful experience.
From learning how to make cheese, to creating their own tooth paste, examining fossils to how gravity and forces work, children had fun as they completed each activity and being awarded their Crest Science Bags.
Year 5 had a special treat where they had an assembly with a Climate Change expert, understanding the effects of global warming and out global footprints. Well done all!
After developing their cycling proficiency skills this term as part of the Brilliant Cycle Coach Club, our amazing Year 3, Year 4 and Year 5 children have been awarded their Green Jersey Badge.
Learning how to ride safely is an important skill and these children have proven themselves to be competent and confident children. Well done to all those who took part!
If you would like your child to take part in Cycling Club next term, places are still available.

‘Cats Cradle’ has taken over the playground this week as our ‘Craze of the Week’.
Another Positive Playtime activity that the children have thoroughly enjoyed, led by our terrific Sports Leaders!
The craze of next week is: Stilts. The game of next week is: ‘TV Tag’
The success of Positive Playtimes is due to the wonderful team of lunchtime adults. Each week, we will introduce one of our adults so you can get to know them.
Meet Miss Miller - Teaching Assistant & Lunchtime Supervisor
Miss Miller's favourite subject at school was PE.
Her favourite playtime game was competing and taking part in races.
Miss Miller's favourite thing about CCJ is that everyday is always fun and never boring.
She is most excited about the sun, summer and everybody playing outside!
School Disco Thank You
A huge thank you to the Friends of Cheam Common, who raised an incredible £2,119 as part of last week's join Cheam Common Infants and Juniors School Disco. Children had so much fun partying and dancing with their friends. The money raised will go towards further developing both the Infant and Junior school playgrounds. Watch this space for further information!
