Remembrance Day Ceremony

We are so proud of our Heads of the Pupil Leadership Team, who represented the school at the Worcester Park Remembrance Day Service and the War Memorial on Sunday.

Aneesh, Avi, Bobby, Izzy, Mahisha and Orla volunteered to lay wreaths from both the Infants' and Junior schools. They showed maturity, respect and empathy throughout the entire service and were excellent representatives of our two schools.

We are also proud of the many children who were also in attendance as part of Cubs, Scouts, Brownies, and many more organisations.

Well done and thank you!

Children's Hospital Pyjamas Campaign

Every year, we support Kingston Hospital and St George's Hospital in our Christmas Pyjama Campaign.

We are collecting donations of pyjamas from generous families throughout November. If you would like to donate, this would be hugely appreciated. Any donations can be handed to class teachers.

Young Writers Competition: November/December

Once again, Young Writers have another exciting writing competition for 7-12 year olds. This time round, the theme is The Magical Map!

The Magical Map can transport children anywhere in space and time using the power of imagination - let creativity run wild! With only 100 words, take a journey, quest to the past, future, a new world or an ancient world!

School lunches

Here are the lunch options for next week. You can click on the image to see all options for the term.

Our Book Wishlist

Children across the school wrote a wishlist of the different books that they would like to see in their library and their classrooms.

We have collated this wishes and have put together an Amazon Wish List, which can be found here. If parents and families wish, there are over a hundred books that children are desperate to read on the list and these can be ordered as a present to our school. Alternatively, if you notice a book on the list that your children no longer read, we are always grateful for any donations!

It has also been suggested by our children that, on a birthday, rather than bringing sweets in for their classmates, children choose a book on the list that they would like to donate to their class. This also falls in line with our commitment to promoting healthy lifestyles. On the order, there is an option to leave a message - you can specify which class the book is for. As ever, we recognise that money can be tight so please note that this is entirely optional. Any support is always appreciated.

Birthday celebrations

Fantastic homework

Polite reminder...

As you know, we are a healthy school and therefore ask if your child would like to celebrate their birthday, they donate a book to a library instead of bringing treats. This also ensures there are no concerns over allergies.

We have loved receiving some fantastic homework so early in the term!

Remember: Each year group's homework matrix can be found in the section below. Completing these tasks is optional but can really help to enrich the children's learning and understanding of these topics.

Lily (Year 5)

Lily completed her 'Charity' badge at Brownies this week. She chose Macmillan Cancer Support as her cause to support and managed to raise an amazing £150 through her 'Sweets in the Jar' game.

We are so proud of you!

Hannah (Year 4)

Hannah played her first ever league games of football for Stoneleigh Athletic on Saturday, and she got player of the match for

second match!

Reporting absences

There is no longer an option to report a child’s absence via telephone. We ask that you use the google forms below to report absence. They are also available to complete on our website using the parent tab.

We do not authorise holidays during term time. If your child is going to be off school due to an exceptional circumstance, then please complete this form:

Request for Exceptional Absence form in advance for future appointments and exception absence.

Cheam Common Juniors' Absence Form for sickness and same day medical appointments.

Our neighbours

As well as being respectful to our neighbours, please can you ensure you adhere to the parking rules within Sainsbury's Local and only park there if you are a customer.

Please ensure you do not obstruct any gates or double park during drop off or collection times.

Moving address

If you have moved address, it is imperative that you inform the school office as soon as you have moved. It is a requirement that the school has up to date details particularly in case of an emergency.

Please email the school office ccjoffice@leoacademytrust.co.uk if your details need updating. Alternatively, you can update them using the Arbor App.
