What a term it has been!
Thank you to those who have been busy sending in work to the year group inboxes. I know lots of you are also working hard at home and recording your work in books and on paper too.
There will not be any new tasks set on the Distance Learning sites over Easter. If you want to do any activities, then please have a look back on the CCJ Distance Learning Site for any lessons you haven't completed or look at the LEO Distance Learning Site and look in the archives for any Online Lessons you would like to complete or take a look at the new Computing and Music areas in the top right hand corner.
Have a great Easter break and thank you for your continued support especially in these unusual and testing times.
Parents, remember you are doing a great job! Key Workers, Thank you so much!
Everyone - Keep smiling and stay safe!
Miss Gunner

Can you complete the tasks set by Mrs Townsend?
Task 1 - create a poster with a new rule to help us be an autism friendly school.
Task 2 - Find out the names of some famous autistic people.
Email your pieces to your year group distance learning email address or to the office email address.
To watch a video created by the National Autistic Society about what autistic people want the public to understand and how the public can help support autistic people better, click here.
At the end of each term we have a Merit Assembly to reflect on the events and successes of the term. Two children in each class are awarded a merit certificate and badge for their continued effort and excellence across an entire term. We also recognise sporting, music and academic achievements with a number of other awards.
Thank you to our Heads and Deputies and to all our Sports' Captains for ensuring our Merit Assembly still happened even though we aren't together.
Thank you to all the staff at Cheam Common and across LEO Academy Trust for supporting the children and providing countless opportunities for our children. None of this would be possible without their commitment.
Lastly, a big thank you to our parents and carers for the continued support you give the school in all we try to achieve and supporting the children across the school.

Please share pictures of your children on Twitter or via email and your teachers will do the same.
There are a number of Whole School Events that we would like to continue to recognise and celebrate even though we are not all together in school. Of course this is optional. Below are more dates for your diary!
It has been great for the teachers to catch up with their classes this week and for everyone to see their friends via Google Hangout. Each class discussed what they were enjoying from the Distance Learning Sites before finding out a bit more about their topic for next term. We are looking forward to having our Classroom Hangouts weekly after Easter.

These are also on the website. Each year group have set a range of tasks that children may like to complete. The children can choose which tasks they would like to do. Please send any work into your Year Group email addresses. Your class teachers and Miss Gunner would love to see your work!
The children also have access to a number of additional resources online. These may make up tasks given as part of their Distance Learning tasks or can be used as additional activities.

Can you see me? by Libby Scott
Endearing, insightful and warmly uplifting, Can You See Me? is a story of autism, empathy and kindness that will touch readers of all ages.
Tally is ten years old and she's just like her friends. Well, sometimes she is. If she tries really hard to be. Because there's something that makes Tally not the same as her friends. Something she can't cover up, no matter how hard she tries: Tally is autistic.
Tally's autism means there are things that bother her even though she wishes they didn't. It means that some people misunderstand, her and feel frustrated by her.
People think that because Tally's autistic, she doesn't realise what they're thinking, but Tally sees and hears - and notices - all of it. And, honestly? That's not the easiest thing to live with.
Perfect for fans of Wonder and The Goldfish Boy.
