As we are no longer able to all come together as a school community, we thought it would be a lovely idea for us to show we are still a family by creating rainbows to put in our windows.
This way, whenever anyone sees one, they will know that we are all still thinking of each other. If you do go out on any walks - see how many you can spot.
You could even turn it into a game of eye spy!
Don't forget to send in any pictures so we can tweet and let everyone know we care. Remember, we are still here for each other.
You can contact the school using the distance learning email addresses (see below) or the school office email: ccjoffice@leoacademytrust.co.uk
Well done to all of you for completing so many Distance Learning tasks and tuning into the Live Lessons. I hope you also made the most of the nice weather - at a safe distance of course!
There are lots of things you can do at home that are not on the Distance Learning sites so remember to help out around the house and get creative too. Make sure you stay active as well. If you join in with P.E with Joe Wicks then send in pictures and videos to your year group inbox.
Parents, remember you are doing a great job! Key Workers, Thank you so much!
Everyone - Keep smiling and stay safe!

If you would like further support to develop your child's writing skills, Clicker is offering a free download of their writing software for either Chromebooks, iPads, Windows or Mac systems while schools are closed. This program provides differentiated support from building basic sentences, enabling children to listen to words to providing topic word banks and word prediction to enable children to write their own sentences.

You can still access our Project Based Home Learning. Each year group have set a range of tasks that children may like to complete. These tasks will immerse children with the topic they are learning about and will also support their learning. There is no expectation to complete all of them or to complete one each week. The children can choose which tasks they would like to do. Please show your work to Miss Gunner!
Here is some of the great homework that the children have brought in as part of their home learning. We will continue to share these each week. Well done all!

Charles Darwin’s On The Origin of Species by Sabina Radeva
On the Origin of Species is a wonderfully written and beautifully illustrated book for all buddying scientists by providing an enlightening commentary alongside ingeniously simplified explanations of Darwin’s theories and choice quotes from the great man himself. Awash with stunning illustrations, which perfectly complement the concise text, Radeva’s On the Origin of Species is a gateway into a world of scientific wonder.
Dinosaurs roam, monkeys swing, big cats prowl and exotic birds swoop, through an intricately rendered natural landscape which brings scientific fact to exhilarating artistic life. For many, Charles Darwin’s evolutionary writing crucial to our understanding of the world around us, yet its academic tone can be daunting to many readers, young and old alike.
On the Origin of Species provides an enlightening commentary alongside ingeniously simplified explanations of Darwin’s theories and choice quotes from the great man himself. Ideal for those younger readers fascinated by the world around them, or for older children seeking an introduction to Darwin’s seminal work, Radeva’s On the Origin of Species is a gateway into a world of scientific wonder.
