As we come to the end of the academic year, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your ongoing support as we have continued to adapt to new routines both at home and in school. Throughout this year, there have been many necessary changes that have had to occur, yet children have continued to shine and be the best that they can be. Their effort, resilience and kind, polite nature is a joy to behold and they have been a credit to both you and to the school.
This term, across the Cheam and Worcester Park hub, staff have been working to ensure children continue to grow and develop not only academically but socially and emotionally too, planning lessons and activities that focus on children’s mental well-being as well as to identify their individual learning needs to best support their progress. We are proud of their achievements.
Looking ahead to the next academic year, our teachers are busy preparing for the return of all pupils to school on Tuesday 07th September. Please note Monday 6th September is an INSET Day. There is no school for children on this day.
You can find more information in the letter that was sent home today here.
The year group inboxes will not be monitored over the summer, if you wish to contact the school, please do this via the school office.
We can't wait to see you all again in September!
Have a safe and enjoyable holiday.
Miss Gunner

At this time of year, we would like to wish a special goodbye to our incredible Year 6 children as they embark on the next stage of their education. During their time here at Cheam Common Junior Academy, they have continuously shown to be exemplary ambassadors for our school, adapting to the many challenges positively whether that be at home with distance learning or in school and for that, we thank you all.
Over the course of this term, Year 6 have been hard at work practising for their end of year summer production, Aladdin. In true Year 6 style, children have produced an outstanding performance with wonderfully over-the-top dance routines and musical numbers. Well done to all our children involved and a huge thank you to both the parents and teachers for helping put on an incredible show.
For all their continued hard work, positive attitude and commitment to our school, we would like to wish you all the best for the future. We thank you all for a very memorable end to Cheam Common but we hope you have enjoyed all of the celebrations. Good luck on your next exciting chapter - we know you will all continue to shine and we look forward to hearing how you get on!
Congratulations and well done to all our children who took part across the school in completing the Brownlee Foundation Challenge, completing a series of sporting activities during their PE lessons. For taking part, children were awarded a medal for their efforts. Well done all!
Earlier this week, children from Year 6 took part in the Kwik Cricket Festival, held at Sutton Cricket Club. Children from across each of our LEO Academies schools participated in a fun-filled sporting day where they competed against one another in a series of friendly competitive cricket matches. All our children had fantastic afternoon and we thank them for being such wonderful ambassadors of the school. Well done!
