Stay safe!
From all the staff at CCJ.
Today, we are looking forward to our second virtual disco. We hope as many of you can join us at 2pm for a dance before we break for half term.
We were very impressed with the disco lights and glitter balls that transformed bedrooms and living rooms into a dance floor in April - we hope we can do the same again!
Thank you to everyone who has sent in their song requests! DJ Perrott and DJ Maclean will do their very best!
We hope you all have fun!
Let Miss Carberry take you through some steps to join in with her dance routine here.
You might even be able to make up the rest of the routine yourselves!
We would love to see photos of you taking part.

LEO Academy Trust have been asked to take part in an exciting project from Sutton Cultural Services called ‘The Locals: Diaries’. We are incredibly honoured to have been asked and hope that lots of you will want to get involved.
Sutton Council Archives are collecting diary entries from different types of people throughout the borough during this unusual time. They are going to add your entries to Sutton’s Archive Collection so that historians of the future can learn what this time was like for people in our community.
Entries can be as short or as long as you like. You can write about one single day, a week or keep a diary over a few weeks. Your diary can include photographs, drawings or even poetry. It can be handwritten or digital. You could even make a video diary (If other people are in the video, make sure that you have their permission). BE CREATIVE!
Click here for a template you could use.
Anyone can take part in the project but in order for the diaries to be entered into the Sutton Council Archives, we will need parental permission.
Once the diary entry is completed, please email to: diaryentryproject@leoacademytrust.co.uk.
Please include your child’s name, school, class and age.
Then please complete this form to give permission.

In last week's School Council meeting many of the children said they had enjoyed baking during this period and would like to host their very own bake off!
So... we have a challenge for you!
Over the half term holiday, the school council would like pupils to bake or cook anything of their choice. This can be a cake, some biscuits, a loaf of bread or even a meal!
Your creation will be judged on its appearance, name and packaging design. Your families can give their verdict on taste!
Please send photos of your creation to your year group email address. In their next meeting, the School Council will be selecting their winner from the entries.
The winner will receive their very own personalised Cheam Common cooking apron!
Happy baking!

Where the World turns Wild by Nicola Penfold
Animals, trees, flowers, our city forbids them all…
Juniper Greene lives in a walled city from which nature has been banished, following the outbreak of a deadly man-made disease many years earlier. While most people seem content to live in such a cage, she and her little brother Bear have always known about their resistance to the disease, and dream of escaping to the one place humans have survived outside of cities: the wild. When scientists discover that the siblings provide the key to fighting the disease, the pair must flee for their lives. As they journey into the unknown, they soon learn that there's cruelty in nature as well as beauty. Will they ever find the home they're searching for?
A thrilling, thought-provoking and relatable ecological adventure! Not only is this book beautifully written, but it will broaden your knowledge and mind completely!
Remember to fill in a book review once you have read a book so that your teacher can stamp your bookmark!

This week, your challenge is to investigate the senses.
You will need: a family member, and a blindfold!
This challenge can be as easy or difficult as you like! All you need to do is put a blindfold on your family member (or yourself) and see how the other senses are heightened when sight is taken away!
You could test their senses by seeing if they can identify objects blindfolded by:
We would love to know which senses are strongest when blindfolded! This challenge will be lots of fun so send us your pictures and results!
