News & Information
WE ARE STILL HERE FOR YOU!
We may no longer be able to come together as a school community, however the school is still here to support you and your children.
Don't forget to send in any pictures of your children or any of their home learning they are completing so we can still share their achievements on Twitter. Remember, we are still here for each other.
You can contact the school using the distance learning email addresses (see below) or the school office email: ccjoffice@leoacademytrust.co.uk.
If you have any questions you can also call the School Office.
Keep safe.

Top Tips!
National Trust Gardens
The National Trust has announced it will open its gardens and parklands for free during the Coronavirus outbreak.
That's in response to government advice asking people to social distance - avoiding non-essential contact with others and stopping unnecessary travel.

PROJECT BASED HOME LEARNING
You can still access our Project Based Home Learning. Each year group have set a range of tasks that children may like to complete. These tasks will immerse children with the topic they are learning about and will also support their learning. There is no expectation to complete all of them or to complete one each week. The children can choose which tasks they would like to do. Please show your work to Miss Gunner!
Here is some of the great homework that the children have brought in as part of their home learning. We will continue to share these each week. Well done all!

BATTLE OF THE BOOKS
Mythologica: an Encyclopedia of Gods, Monsters and Mortals from Ancient Greece by Victoria Topping
Uncover the colourful lives of 50 powerful gods and goddesses, earth-dwelling mortals and terrifying monsters as you journey back in time to ancient Greece. From the fearless Athena and her meddlesome ways to the brave and bold Odysseus and his remarkable journey home, Mythologica allows you the opportunity to discover why these incredible stories are still a part of our culture today.
Listed alphabetically, each boldly designed spread presents a figure from the myths, from their name in Greek, their defining attributes, to a summary of their story, along with multiple sidelights that provide additional facts. Interspersed with the profiles are summaries of famous mythological tales and historical events, like the Odyssey, the Trojan War and the story of the Argonauts.
Mythological presents an electrifying visual portrayal of each figure transports you directly into their wild world. The thrilling images and digestible text provides the perfect introduction to the lively world of Greek mythology and a beautiful display reference for the whole family. Prepare to be amazed as you uncover the epic, heroic and sometimes terrible lives of mortals, monsters and gods. A brilliant factual book from beginning to end!
Remember to fill in a book review once you have read a book so that your teacher can stamp your bookmark!
