We need your help to help bring smiles to older people of Sutton by sending them a lovely picture, letter or poem. Age UK Sutton is supporting hundreds of older people during coronavirus, many of whom have nobody else, or are desperately missing regular contact with friends, neighbours, and family. These letters will be sent to older people isolating at home, in care homes, and in hospital to bring some cheer in these difficult times. Thank you to everyone who has sent a letter so far. Here are some that we have seen this week.
You can email your letters to your year group mailboxes or send your letter directly to:

Evernight by Ross Mackenzie
Thousands of years ago, the Evernight came to the Silver Kingdom and turned everything to darkness and chaos. It was only defeated thanks to the skill and bravery of the Witches. But now the Evernight is about to return, released by the evil Mrs Hester, and the only spell that might stop it is lost, deep below the great city of King's Haven. Then orphan Larabelle Fox stumbles across a mysterious wooden box while treasure-hunting in the city's sewers. Little does she realise she is about to be catapulted into an adventure, facing wild magic and mortal danger - and a man who casts no shadow . . .
Enter an assured fantasy land set in a richly imaginative world, filled with complex characters, wonderful witches, wizards and magic! A thrilling, vivid adventure dripping with genuine menace that will truly capture your imagination!

This week's challenge is to see if you can make a lemon sink!
Some of you may be shocked to learn that when a lemon is put in water it floats!
Can you figure out how you can make the lemon sink and also think about why it floats in the first place?
Once you have figured this out, you might want to think about other fruits that float in water too!
Please do send us your solutions! It will be interesting to see if there is more than one way of doing this. And when you are done, why not use the lemons to make a nice refreshing lemonade!
