We are looking forward to welcoming all children back to school on Monday. We cannot wait to welcome everyone back into the Cheam Common building! As always, the safety of pupils, family and staff will be our priority. All parents/carers received further details regarding logistics of the full school return on Monday.

Please ensure:

  • If your child or anyone in your household is displaying symptoms of COVID 19, please inform the school immediately. DO NOT BRING YOUR CHILD TO SCHOOL. Call 111 or visit www.nhs.co.uk for medical advice. You should also book a test.

  • Wear a face mask when on the school grounds

  • Ensure you remain social distanced at all times

  • Adhere to the one way system

  • Do not gather on the playground

  • Only arrive at the times stated below to reduce congestion

  • Only one parent/guardian per child is permitted on site, if siblings have to come due to lack of childcare, please ensure all family members remain within your family group including toddlers

The car park gates will open from 8:20am and close promptly at 8:45am. If your child arrives after this time, they will need to go through the main reception.

The end of the school day will be as follows:

Year 6: 3:15pm

Please enter through the car park. You can exit the site from either the car park, side entrance between CCI and CCJ or via the gate on Balmoral Road.

BATTLE OF THE BOOKS

This week’s book is one of the new titles from the Year 6 book list and is ‘Point Blanc’ (Alex Rider) by Anthony Horowitz.

Investigations into the “accidental” deaths of two of the world's most powerful men have revealed just one link: both had a son attending Point Blanc Academy, a school for rebellious rich kids run by the sinister Dr Grief and set high in the French Alps. Armed with a new collection of gadgets, Alex must infiltrate the academy as a pupil and establish the truth about what is really happening there!

Remember to fill in a book review once you have read a book so that your teacher can stamp your bookmark!

You can find your child's Battle of the Books suggested book list on our school website via the following link:

http://www.cheamcommon.org.uk/website/supporting_the_curriculum/331291

Here you will find most books listed, however we are continually updating and showcasing our recommended reads as new books are released.
