There’s nowhere to hide tomatoes!

We enjoyed our penultimate week of the ‘Eat them to defeat them’ initiative by defeating tomatoes. Thank you to Reception for decorating the serving hatch and to the catering team for a lovely tomato display. We would like to recognise their efforts in encouraging the children to eat their veggies. Well done to all the children who have taken part in defeating their veg, at home and at school!

What has been happening in school?

This week in Reception, 2 parents visited classrooms to talk about being a nurse and a doctor. The children asked lots of interesting questions and learnt the difference between doctors and nurses.

This week Year 2 have been learning about fractions and finding half the quantity using manipulatives.

Year 2 are keen geographers and they have been learning about continents. They compared two continents- Arctic and Africa.

This week the game of the week is called 'In and out the dusty bluebells' and the craze of the week is developing hand and eye coordination. The children have really enjoyed the game and the craze.
