Nursery talked about how we can stop, slow down, breathe, be calm and relax. We watched Little Cloud, the animated story by Eric Carle (our author focus). Then they went into our garden and lay on the grass carpet to see what we could see in the clouds as they passed by.

Wrens Class found different ways to make straight shapes. Some made straight shapes while standing or flat on the mat. Some were confident to try the back and front support position.

Catherine explained that to be successful we needed to make a recognisable shape, have good body tension and make a repeatable shape.

Real Gym is inclusive and helps us to cooperate with others. We learn our fundamental movement skills including balance, agility and coordination. These skills will be transferable when we come to try new sports as we get older. They are also important skills for life and help us to sit straight at our tables when doing our recorded work and even balance to put on our socks.

Importantly, Real Gym helps to create positive early core memories of physical activity, which are so important in creating healthy relationships with physical activity for life.

At Techy Tots we believe using play to establish the early steps of coding, a brilliant way to prepare children not only for school, but for their future.
