Thank you to all of our families who donated to our Children in Need day last week. Between Cheam Common Infants and Juniors, we raised almost £500.
Please find attached any important festive dates for December. Please note that the deadline to sign up for a Christmas lunch has passed.
Every year, we support Kingston Hospital and St George's Hospital in our Christmas Pyjama Campaign.
We are collecting donations of pyjamas from generous families throughout November. If you would like to donate, this would be hugely appreciated. Any donations can be handed to class teachers.
Thank you for your support.
LEO Academy Trust is incredibly proud to work in partnership with the National Institute of Teaching as an Associate College to deliver Initial Teacher Training, (ITT) Early Career Framework (ECF) and National Professional Qualifications (NPQs) from September 2025. Associate Colleges are successful school trusts, selected because of their wealth of in-house expertise in professional development and their deep relationships in their local areas. This collaboration allows us to be at the forefront of educational excellence, providing local teachers with unparalleled opportunities for professional growth, learning and development. Together, we are shaping the future of teaching and learning, ensuring that every child receives the highest quality education.

This is a friendly reminder that Cheam Common Infants' is a nut-free school. This policy is in place to protect children with severe nut allergies, which can cause life-threatening reactions.
Please do not send any food items containing nuts to school with your child. This includes, but is not limited to:
All types of nuts: peanuts, almonds, walnuts, cashews, pecans, Brazil nuts, hazelnuts, pistachios, macadamia nuts
Monkey nuts
Chocolate spread (e.g., Nutella, which often contains hazelnuts)
Chocolate filled crepes (e.g., Sainsburys own as these contain hazelnut filling)
Peanut butter
Baked goods that contain nuts or nut flour
Snacks and cereals that may contain nuts or have "may contain" warnings
Even trace amounts of nuts can trigger a severe allergic reaction in some children. We appreciate your cooperation in keeping our school a safe environment for all students.
Year One had a very exciting start to the week with their Victorian workshop. They loved hearing all about how the Victorian children lived and wore hats as they got in character to become factory workers. The children were so excited as they played with wooden Victorian toys. In Design Technology the children continued to learn about stable structure and they made their own washing line. They worked together with partners and ensured the poles were stable, by creating a base. They tried very hard to tie the wool around the pole. They were very proud of their washing line creations.
Year 2 have worked so hard this week researching Mae Jemison for their non-chronological reports. They were thrilled to find out that Mae’s amazing contribution to science has been celebrated by Lego who made a Mae minifigure astronaut in a special NASA Lego set! In RE the children finished making and decorating their diva lamps as part of their learning about Diwali. They have certainly added a touch of colour and sparkle to our classrooms. This week we have begun to practise for the Christmas performance. There has been lots of excitement and some amazing acting already. We can’t wait to share it with you very soon!
Polite reminder...
As you know, we are a healthy school and therefore ask if your child would like to celebrate their birthday, they donate a book to a library instead of bringing treats. This also ensures there are no concerns over allergies.
Happy birthday! Thank you for your book donation.
