Every member of staff at Cheam Common Infants' Academy would like to wish our families a safe and happy Christmas. We hope you have a relaxing two weeks off and we will see you on Monday 6th January.
Cheam Common Infants' Academy is looking for a Midday Supervisor to start ASAP. The hours are 7.08 per week, 1 hour 25 minutes per day, from 11:30 to 12:55. This is a fixed contract until the end of the academic year.
The ideal candidate will be patient and calm by nature, be firm but fair in matters of discipline, be a good role model to the children, and be aware of equal opportunity issues. They must also be able to maintain the confidentiality aspects of the job.
To apply, please refer to this Midday Supervisor - Cheam Common Infants' Academy.
Please find information about how to sign your child up to RockSteady lessons.
Thank you to those parents who came along to watch the performance last week.
This is a friendly reminder that Cheam Common Infants' is a nut-free school. This policy is in place to protect children with severe nut allergies, which can cause life-threatening reactions.
Please do not send any food items containing nuts to school with your child. This includes, but is not limited to:
All types of nuts: peanuts, almonds, walnuts, cashews, pecans, Brazil nuts, hazelnuts, pistachios, macadamia nuts
Monkey nuts
Chocolate spread (e.g., Nutella, which often contains hazelnuts)
Chocolate filled crepes (e.g., Sainsburys own as these contain hazelnut filling)
Peanut butter
Baked goods that contain nuts or nut flour
Snacks and cereals that may contain nuts or have "may contain" warnings
Even trace amounts of nuts can trigger a severe allergic reaction in some children. We appreciate your cooperation in keeping our school a safe environment for all students.
This week, we have made rock pools and learned all about Christmas traditions, such as Christmas dinner.
Thank you to all of our families who came along to our Christmas performances this week. We hope that you enjoyed them!
Wow, what a fabulous week we have had to end the term. We were all so incredibly proud of the children and how well they sang and danced in the Nativity, they thoroughly enjoyed performing for all for all. We concluded all their wider curriculum subjects and assessed their knowledge on Science, History and R.E. The children have really enjoyed creating Christmas crafts and a variety of activities. We are all exhausted and are ready for the Christmas holidays. We hope you have a wonderful, joy filled Christmas.
Year 2 has had a fantastic end to the term! Our children shone brightly in the Nativity performances, sharing their hard work and enthusiasm with proud parents and carers. The class parties were filled with joy, laughter, and festive fun. We'd like to thank all parents and carers for their support. We wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Polite reminder...
As you know, we are a healthy school and therefore ask if your child would like to celebrate their birthday, they donate a book to a library instead of bringing treats. This also ensures there are no concerns over allergies.
Happy birthday! Thank you for your book donation.
