In order to ensure a smooth transition for the children we have a carefully planned a staggered start in September for our Early Years children. More information regarding dates and times for your child will follow shortly.

We value the importance of each child being an individual and understand that they are on their own ‘unique’ learning journey. We believe that children's first experience of school, or a new setting, has a big impact on how they settle and subsequently their feelings about school. It is for this reason that we invest time in providing home visits to all children.
Reception staff visit families who are new to Cheam Common Infants' prior to the children starting school to gain a full understanding of the whole child. This also gives an opportunity for parents to share valuable information, promote a smooth entry to Reception and help build a positive relationship between school and home.
We recognise the following benefits of home visits:

Assist parents/carers and staff to observe and gain understanding of their child’s skills/interest

Our policy on school uniform is based on the notion that school uniform:
promotes a sense of pride in the school;
engenders a sense of community and belonging towards the school;
is practical and smart;
identifies the children with the school;
prevents children from coming to school in fashion clothes that could be distracting in class;
makes children feel equal to their peers in terms of appearance;
is regarded as suitable wear for school and good value for money by most parents;
is designed with health and safety in mind
Milk and fruit/vegetables are provided daily for your child.
Please speak to the school office if your child has any dietary concerns.
Although we encourage children to attend school every day, we realise that sometimes children are unwell and therefore unable to come to school.
If your child is absent from school due to illness or a same day medical appointment, you must complete the google form below by 8.30am on each day of absence. We may contact you for more information or to ask for medical evidence.
At Cheam Common Infants' we offer wraparound care both before and after school.
The breakfast club runs from 7:30am until the start of school. The cost for a daily session is £6.00
The after school club runs from after school until 6.00pm. The daily session cost is £14.00.

Pupil premium is additional funding allocated to all schools in England to support disadvantaged pupils and close the gap between them and their peers.
This budget includes pupils who are currently entitled to free school meals, have been free school meals in the past six years (FSM ‘Ever Six’), children that are cared for or adopted from care and children whose parents are in the armed forces.

How do Parents use Arbor?
