What is Oracy?
At Brookfield, we are currently working on developing oracy skills of all our pupils. Oracy is a combination of learning to talk and learning through talk.
Why does Oracy matter?
Oracy improves children’s outcomes in all areas of learning. It also fosters well being and confidence
enabling all children to have a voice and to be heard. Oracy equips children with the skills they need in their
lives beyond school and to be active members of the community

e can not wait to see what they produce this term!
Well done to Jacob and Mollie in Sapphire class who completed their home learning tasks to support their learning of WW2. Jacob, used Gemini Ai to help him create a propaganda poster using a picture of his Great-Grandad! While Mollie created a gas mask.
Well done to Catherine, who wrote many diary entries regarding life during WW2 for her home learning task.
Well done to Dhriya, Shana, Josh K and Elia for completing thier home learning tasks to support their understanding of the solar system. Great work!
Within our reading lessons, the children are sharing the books that they love and they favourite recommendations! Each class also has their own book that they are reading during their Read Aloud sessions, which has been chosen by the children themselves.
Here are some quality recommended books for all ages to enjoy with your loved ones! We'd love to hear about any new recommendations!
