What is Oracy?
At Brookfield, we are currently working on developing oracy skills of all our pupils. Oracy is a combination of learning to talk and learning through talk.
Why does Oracy matter?
Oracy improves children’s outcomes in all areas of learning. It also fosters well being and confidence
enabling all children to have a voice and to be heard. Oracy equips children with the skills they need in their
lives beyond school and to be active members of the community

Well done to Raha in for creating this fantastic Greek pot out of clay and painting an intricate design on it - Great job!
Well done to Rose in Amethyst for her scientific investigation into whether Coke or Vinegar is more acidic. Working as a scientist Rose conduced a scientific investigation looking at how long it took an egg shell to crack in both Coke and Vingear. Amazing work!
