Congratulations

Cheam Common Infants awarded 'Leading' in their Challenge Partners review


Before half term Cheam Common Infants (CCI) had a three day Challenge Partners virtual review. The virtual review team met with the senior leadership team, teachers, teaching assistants, parents and governors. They focused on teaching and learning, remote learning and leadership at all levels.

We are pleased to share that CCI were awarded 'leading' and this is the highest level.

We are also pleased to announce that CCI were also awarded an area of excellence with implementation and impact of using Seesaw to support the children's learning in Early Years and Year 1.

Congratulations to all at CCI, what a wonderful achievement and recognition for your continued hard work.

Cheam Park Farm nominated for TFL Stars School Champion Award

Congratulations to Cheam Park Fam Primary Academy on their nomination as a Transport for London STARS School Champion for 2021.

Cheam Park Farm were nominated for their commitment to Sustainable Travel with Active, Responsible & Safe travel underpinning their planning and in-school initiatives.

Well done to all!

Congratulations to all at Cheam Park Farm Primary Academy for successfully achieving the Primary Science Quality Mark. Science has continued to be developed across the school despite the challenges of the last year.

Well done to all of the children & staff at @cheamparkfarm. A wonderful Science curriculum being delivered across the school.

CPD Spotlight!

An Introduction to Music Notation

Thank you to Jane Greene, Director of Music, for leading a great session exploring both graphic and staff notation.

Jane explored basic graphic notation that can be taught in EYFS and then demonstrated how to progress to blob and staff notation in KS1. The session also explored the musical stave, note values and note names that KS2 pupils are expected to know.

Cybersecurity Training for School Staff from NCSC

The National Cybersecurity Centre (NCSC, part of GCHQ) has produced free cyber security training to raise awareness and help school staff manage some of the key cyber threats facing schools.

This training is non-technical and appropriate for all staff to attend, but may be particularly helpful for senior leaders and governors to attend in order to understand high-level issues and why you need to be aware (and what you need to do about it).
