LEO CHRISTMAS FUNDRAISING

For our November Sporting Challenge, LEO Academies were tasked with raising funds for Maggie's at The Royal Marsden.

Well done to Brookfield Primary Academy for raising £242!

The page will be live until the end of the year in case anyone wants to donate, click here to be taken to the LEO Fundraising for Maggie's at the Marsden page.

So far LEO Academy has raised:

LEO's Rudolph Run for St Raphael's Hospice

Due to the pandemic, St Raphael's Hospice (Sutton and Merton) have really been affected, not only by taking in COVID patients but by closing their shops and events. They are looking at a loss of around £1.8 million.

Brookfield, Cheam Common Infants and Juniors, Cheam Fields and Cheam Park Farm will all be taking part in the Rudolph Run, a fundraising event for St Raphael’s Hospice, as they do not want to see the patients and hospice suffer and have decided to participate in a fundraiser to support them in this difficult time.

It’s a fantastic way to celebrate the festive season whilst raising vital funds for St Raphael’s – your local hospice. They provide exceptional end of life care to almost 1,000 patients and their families every year who live in Merton & Sutton. 75% of their running costs rely on the incredible support and generosity of the community. During this difficult time for all of us, they need you now more than ever!

We would appreciate any donations you can afford to give.

Virtual Masterclass: New Year, New Inspiration

Thursday 3rd December 2020 - 03:00 PM online on Zoom

When we look back in time, we will see the revolution in the way we live and work began in 2020. Employees have shown they have the skill and motivation to work remotely, without the supervision imposed by traditional business management structures, to keep businesses running, thriving and prospering in this new era.

However we can only maintain this heightened sense of purpose for so long. The new year traditionally brings with it a fresh start, for clear mindsets to re-set and re-focus. It’s the perfect time for a kick-off meeting to leave 2020 behind and focus on the opportunities 2021 will bring.

Hosted by Helen Fospero, Speaker's Corner's final showcase of the year will demonstrate how an external speaker can re-energise your team, challenging them to look forwards and seize the opportunities that lie ahead. Their inspirational speaker line-up will do just that!

James Cracknell OBE is one of Britain’s most successful athletes of all time. Since retiring from professional rowing, James has become the Founder and director of his enormously successful company Threshold Sports, and uses his expertise as an entrepreneur, businessman and Olympian to captivate his audience.

Mandy Hickson overcame huge obstacles and setbacks before realising her dream of becoming a Royal Air Force pilot. Mandy was the second woman to fly the Tornado GR4 operationally and shares her experience to help us communicate better, empower ourselves and others, and draw the very best from the team around us.

In one of the last events to be held during 2020, our team saw Spencer West on stage at WE Day. They came back to the office blown away by his open and candid about the struggles he overcame after losing his legs at the age of five, and how he never lost the hope or courage he needed to overcome personal obstacles.

Their host for this virtual masterclass is Helen Fospero. A familiar, well-loved face on TV, Helen is a reporter on BBC 1’s The One Show.

Trust Wide Opportunities coming up this term:

10.12.20 : The Rudolph Run for St Raphael's Hospice

06.12.20: St Raphael's Light Up A Life Celebration - join the online zoom from 4pm with music and carols. You may glimpse some of our pupils from Brookfield, Cheam Fields and Cheam Park Farm singing beautifully. The service and light switch on will be at 4:30pm.

Due to the pandemic, St Raphael's popular remembrance ceremony and celebration held in the Hospice grounds will be streamed live via Zoom to the comfort of your own home. There will be music and a service with a moment of reflection for you to remember your loved ones before our beautiful tree lights are switched on.

Although this year's event will be online, there will still be a limited capacity of people able to log in. Therefore, we ask that you book a free ticket at the bottom of this page.

On booking, the Zoom link and instructions on how to log on, will be sent to you by email. Click here to book one ticket per household. There is no charge for the link but it would be wonderful if you are in a position to donate whatever you can to our Light up a Life Appeal.
