Dear Parents,

Congratulations! Your child is invited to join the WMS Band and/or Chorus! This is an exciting opportunity for your child to learn valuable life skills and make beautiful music with their friends. NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY! We will teach them from square one.

Band and Choir are year-long classes, which means that instead of changing one of their elective classes halfway through the year, they will be enrolled in band or choir for two consecutive semesters. Choir students will focus on learning how to sing and read music, and will perform for various community and school performances. Choir students study a vast variety of genres and have opportunities to audition for the advanced extracurricular choirs during the school year. In the WMS Band your child will learn all types of music and perform for parades, sporting events, community events, and other special events on one of the instruments listed below:

Flute, Oboe, Clarinet, Alto Sax, Tenor Sax, Trumpet, F Horn, Baritone, Trombone, Tuba, Percussion, Guitar, Bass Guitar, or Piano (you and your student can watch the Instrument Demonstration Video by clicking the button below the Renting and Buying Instruments section below).

We will have a Band interest meeting (likely through Zoom or some other chat forum) where you will be able to ask questions, voice concerns, etc. This meeting date and time are currently to-be-determined. Please enter all of the required information on the Google Form link below so we can get you connected and let you know when this interest meeting occurs.

MONEY CONCERNS WILL NOT PREVENT ANY STUDENT FROM PARTICIPATING IN ANY BAND OR CHORUS EVENT!!!
