The ASH Lab has officially settled in at Le Moyne College! We won't be taking any new students in the lab this year as I get settled into a teaching routine and finish up a few projects with Colgate students. I'm excited to be back in a tenure-track position and looking forward to a making a new academic home at Le Moyne!

The close of the academic year marks my last semester at Colgate University. I have accepted an Associate Professor position at Le Moyne College beginning in Fall 2024. While I am excited for this next step, I will miss Colgate dearly. I could not be more greatful for my time here. A huge thank you to all of my students and colleagues for the amazing opportunity to work with each and every one of you. I have grown in ways I never could have imagined and rediscovered a passion for scholarship that I will carry with me on my next adventure.

As the semester comes to a close, I have to extend my heartfelt gratitude to all the lab members for an amazing year. We built this lab from one researcher and a dream to 11 highly skilled research assistants, a lab manager, and multiple grant-funded research projects. Thank you ASH Lab and thank you Colgate University!

For the past 2 weeks we've been learning R. There's a bit of a learning curve for R, but this statistical software is incredibly versatile and powerful. This was a good opportunity to get a feel for R and we'll be building on this next year with a series of training labs. Goal for 2024: run all lab analyses in R!

Thanks to a generous grant from the Public Affairs and Policy Research (PAPR) Initiative, we were able to add several new students to the lab to study the impact of marginalization and privilege on COVID-19 vaccine hesitancy. We'll be developing a survey and launching to 800 participants through Qualtrics.

Kicking off a new start at Colgate University with a Collaboration for Unprecedented Success and Excellence (CUSE) Grant program from Syracuse University! PI Brittany Kmush (Syracuse University) and I will be collaborating with Tricia Neppl (Iowa State University) and Brent Donnellan (Michigan State University) to reconnect with parents in the Iowa Family Transitions Project to assess the impact of the pandemic on family stress and functioning. We'll have access to 3 generations of longitudinal data to better understand factors that predict resilience in families during the pandemic.

After 15 years of teaching at Cazenovia College, it's time to start a new chapter. In order to have more time and resources for research, I accepted a position as a Visiting Assistant Professor at Colgate University. I couldn't be more excited to be a part of this amazing institution!
