Frequently Asked Questions
When will the schedule be posted?
Hopefully at least one week before the contest!
What should I do if I have groups that overlap or are too close together?
Email Jocelyn ASAP: jocelyn.hommes@lemarscsd.org
What should I do if I have a drop or name change(s)?
You can use the IHSSA LG Change form. Please check in when you arrive at school.
How can I get my set pieces onto the stage?
Center 3: Bring your set pieces through MS Entrance A and then use the first hallway on the right to access the stage. You will have to use stairs to get onto the stage.
Where is the light booth?
Center 3: The light booth is at the top of the stairs that are west of the MS Auditorium audience entrance.
We will have people in the light booths to assist you, but you will not be able to change the settings on the lights. You may have them all on full, dim, or off. You may use our spotlights or bring your own. If you do not come to the light booth before performing, we will assume you want full lights when you open the curtain.
Where can I store my set pieces before/after we finish performing?
Please store your large pieces in the middle school north gym, not in the high school gathering area.
Where can we put on costumes and make-up?
Use the locker rooms near Carey Gym, the home area for all teams. The girls' locker room is on the west side of the hall, and the boys' is on the east side. The locker rooms across from the old MS gym (prop storage/warm-up) will also be available. Please do not use our tiny restroom facilities for clothing changes.
Where can we warm up before we perform?
Use the middle school north gym.
Where should the buses park?
Buses should park on Callahan Drive on the south end of the middle school.
Where will ratings be posted?
Ratings will be posted in the lunchroom and in Carey Gym. We also have a link on our site where ratings will be shared live.
