What is Skills for Work?

We offer a range of skills for work courses that allow our learners to improve their job prospects. We also offer Access to Higher Education for people who want to go on to University. These courses are designed for adults who are looking for work, progression in current employment or a career change. We support our learners and their career aspirations, whether they have no experience or want to build on existing skills (up to level 3). Scroll down for a full list of our courses.

Digital Skills:


These courses will teach you the basics or improve your existing IT and digital skills. Helping you to keep up with modern technology and put you at the front of employment recruitment queues.

Digital Skills for Beginners

The Digital Skills for Beginners Course is designed as a starting point for those who are new to using a computer or who have very little knowledge. It will provide you with the basics to get you started.

This course is designed as a natural progression from any Beginners Course in IT. It is likely to be your first IT qualification and will help you develop your skills in the area and add to your qualifications within a CV.

LASALS offer professional qualifications from two nationally recognised business finance associations. Our range of courses is of benefit to anyone running their own business as well as people intending to specifically become bookkeepers or accountants.
