Dr. Murphy employs multifaceted approaches to determine mechanisms governing aging and healthspan. Her lab uses C. elegans to examine age-dependent phenotypes, with an emphasis on metabolic effects on reproduction and the nervous system, as well as transgenerational effects on impacting offspring fitness and behavior.
Timothy Dubuc
Dr. Dubuc studies stem cell-driven growth, regeneration, germ cell specification using transgenic technologies and live imaging approaches
Sarah Siegrist
Dr. Siegrist’s research program addresses key questions in the following areas: extrinsic and metabolic control of stem cells; neural circuits implicated in nutrient sensing and growth control; termination of developmental programs; and repair and regeneration of adult neural tissues.
Andrew Gordus
Dr. Gordus is elucidating the cellular and genetic mechanisms that drive novel and innate behaviors, and how organisms sense and adjust to environmental variability.
Nykia Walker
Dr. Walker studies the immune modulatory role of mesenchymal stem cells in promoting tissue regeneration or aiding cancer stem cells in evading immune cell surveillance.
Mark Zander
Dr. Zander studies the interplay between master transcription factors and the epigenome during stress responses with a focus on high spatiotemporal resolution to better understand how plants respond at a tissue and cellular level.
