Welcome
Amid the challenges we have faced this past year, continuing our commitment to education and to creating opportunities for undergraduate research remains as critical, if not more so than, than in years gone by. We commend all the devoted student researchers and dedicated faculty mentors for their persistence in carrying out research in the face of the challenges that have come our way during the global pandemic.
It is our pleasure and great honor to welcome you "to" Lehigh University for the first ever all virtual Intercollegiate Student Chemists Conference. We are honored to carry on the efforts of those who have come before us to preserve this long-standing tradition - virtually, until we can all safely meet again in person.
While this conference will be different in some ways than those that have come before, we know that many aspects of the conference remain the same. The exceptional work that will be presented here today will, as always, be the result of the close mentor and mentee collaboration that is so critical to the development of the next generation of scientists and life-long learners. We commend all those involved in the day's events and look forward to the wonderful presentations!
